PLEASE BEWARE!!!
See below my experience with them. They are dreadful:
I hope you are well.
I recently sold my car through Motorway and you were the dealer who won the bid of £6,070.00
When we spoke on the phone on the 24th of September at 12:01, you confirmed that your garage will be picking up the car. We agreed a pick up date on the 30th of September between 14:00-16:00.
When your colleagues attended on the 30th of September to pick up the car, we went for a test drive together, and when we returned, he spoke to someone on the phone, in a foreign language that I could not understand, and then he advised me that apparently, a new belt is needed and that will cost £600.00
At no point a quote was provided for this amount, and when I tried to negotiate the price, which I have every right to do, he refused and advised that he will not be picking up the car.
I felt very intimidated and pressured to accept a price that I haven’t even seen a quote for, despite the fact that you have to give me ample time to make an informed decision.
When I messaged you on the 1st of October to request a copy of the report that claims the belt needs changing, and also, to get the mechanics details, you confirm that he is RAC approved and decline to give me any details. I have also ask multiple times for an invoice or quote for the alleged works, which you have failed to provide.
Furthermore, you failed to advise me that you are using a third party contractor and, according to trading standards, your website says that you are AA approved but your 3rd party mechanic is RAC approved. I have searched on RAC website but I cannot find a mechanic under Motorama Sales Ltd.
Moreover, as you are being unhelpful and not willing to provide me with your mechanics details so I can check that they are RAC approved, you confirm that you will not be sharing these details.
Please note, a complaint has been made with RAC and they will be investigating.
I am willing to reach a resolution without having to proceed with the Motor Ombudsman.
