Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 124 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people encountered significant service issues, including EV charging stations being out of order or failing, and car washes not providing advertised features. Customers frequently faced payment difficulties, such as large pre-authorisation holds on funds for small purchases, being overcharged for fuel or items, and struggling with refunds. Pricing for charging and other products was often considered too high, with some also receiving unexpected parking fines. However, some customers noted issues with staff being rude or unhelpful, and experiencing communication problems. Conversely, a small portion of people were satisfied with the customer service, highlighting instances where staff were friendly, welcoming, and effectively resolved problems, showing empathy and ownership.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. When paying by contactless in any unattended scenario, pre-authorisations are used. These are held by the bank/ card provider as a 'pending' transaction and won't actually leave your account, although the amount will be reduced from your available balance awaiting the completion of the transaction, in the event that it has not been used either in part or full it will return to your balance. The time frame for a return of this pre-authorisation is dependent on your bank. Many thanks, The MFG Team.

Car wash damage refused with no evidence provided to support.

This company decided damage to my car, in the Morrisons' car wash they now own, was not their responsibility and did not uphold any aspect of the claim. They provided no evidence to support their decision. They actually stated the machinery would activate regardless of the car's alignment, a direct contradiction to their signage. So, you drive in with a perfect car and drive out with an imperfect one with damage to the tune of £600 they wash their hands of. Disgraceful.

Morrisons Petrol Station Pay At Pump

I went to the Morrisons Petrol Station in Milton Keynes Today and had an issue with the fuel pump I couldn't get fuel nor could I pay, I then realise that I was missing £100 from my bank and was sat as a pending transaction, this amount being deducted came at the worst time, so out of distress I asked site who I can contact, they mentioned MFG and provided me with a contact number, which i then called.

I didn't think I would get anything from it nor any help or assistance however, to my surprise I got an answer to a young Gentleman called Oliver, he was extremely polite and I must say extremely understanding, this didn't only feel like customer service but made me feel like I was talking to a friend. He was extremely helpful and advised everything with great detail, he then spoke to what he called the IT Team and a short while later he called again and said he had some great news, he told me to check my bank and to my surprise all was resolved, he sincerely apologised and explained how everything works, this has reassured me and I will continue to use the station and pay at pump due. I had to ask if there was something i could do in return and said i will be writing an honest and happy review for the service provided to me.

Many Thanks Oliver and I couldn't have been more surprised and happy with the service you provided I do hope you receive heavy praise after this due to the efforts and time you done this in.

Outstanding, 10/10 Service and has changed my view on Morrisons Petrol Stations that MFG now own.

MFG have just taken over the morrisons…

MFG have just taken over the morrisons forecourt in coalville. I have always used morrisons as you get points for money off. Never going to this forecourt again as they don't know what they are doing and ripped me off, saying I'd used part unleaded and then diesel in my van and charged me for both # robbing people of doubtful parentage...

LPG pump not setup correctly.

My Issue was the filling of my Safer Fill LPG gas bottle at MFG's Morrisons Fuel Station in Wellingborough.
The problem was that the only pump to fill LPG was faulty for many weeks, in so much that the trigger assembly locking ring was in the wrong position preventing it from attaching to my Gas cylinder.
Morrison's did not help,
so I contact Health and safety (HSE) but that takes time!
So I spoke to Courtney at MFG and she said it might take some time but she would sort it.
And true to her word, she did, keeping me informed of all steps she had to take but today I was able to go to my Morrisons (MFG) petrol station and fill my Saferfill Bottle with LPG with no issues.
Many thanks Courtney for your help as I am so happy to have my only Saferfill Approved Station back up and working as before.
Also Courtney many thanks for the voucher, I used it today.
So for taking charge of my problem and seeing it through to the end today, well-done for your outstanding Customer Service.
Regards R Bowen.

Profits Before Customer Satisfaction

Been using Morrisons Hartcliffe for fuel for last 18 years or so. Last month the pay at pump facility has been removed/doesn't work. Looks like the fuel side has been taken over about the same time with completely new staff been taken on when the issues with pay at pump started. Are they nos a franchise? Been met with several excuses as to why we can't pay at pump - none of which make any sense. For me it looks very much like they want you in the kiosk to boost sales. No other reason makes sense. If I want to buy something I'll go inside - my choice! When I submitted a an online complaint using the drop down for fuel issues (MFG) got a tired and lazy response to say contact MFG. Why bother giving me the option in the first place. Oh and no contact details provided either. Pay at the pump is a way of reducing queues especially at peak times and convenience for the customer. You've gone backwards. Get it sorted Morrisons. It's your name on the forecourt!!

Breach of GDPR at petrol station

Appalling experience for my son who has just passed his driving test. He went to fill the car with petrol, and the cashier refused to take payment, stating he was too young to have driven there.
In an attempt to resolve the issue peacefully, my son had to show her his ID - which the cashier took photos of, on her personal phone to share in a group chat and this was to prove he was old enough to drive and fill a car.
This is a huge breach of GDPR and playing on a young person’s vulnerability which I would like to discuss with some senior team leader.
I have tried emailing, but the email doesn’t send, I have tried phoning and once you select option 1 for customer service the line goes dead.
I really need to speak to someone about this incident sooner rather than later as don’t want anyone else have to experience that - when seemingly doing the right thing.

Worst customer service in U.K.?

Fast becoming the worst name in customer services in the U.K. Totally abysmal across the board. In store pricing is completely absurd. 90% of your staff don’t speak enough English to operate safely. MFG is a complete disgrace, really really bad and you deserve to go bankrupt.

Rip off

So, increase the Price of LPG from 99.9p per litre to 1.29p a litre overnight, where it can be purchased from the cheapest independent at 75p per litre. Smacks of blatent profiteering

Selfish company hiked prices on LPG

Selfish company hiked prices on LPG - a greener and more environmentally sound fuel by 30%, making it more expensive to run than petrol (it has approx 85% of the energy density). This forces all green lpg cars to pump more greenhouse gasses into the environment. Independent garages charge 85-95p per L and mfg is charging 1.30. Hopefully Independent suppliers will step in, meanwhile, I'm avoiding MFG stations.

LPG on MFG forecourts at Morrisons supermarkets

Such a massive shame. Absolutely ridiculous price increase of LPG of 30p overnight. At 129.9, it's cheaper to use petrol at some stations! If petrol or diesel had gone up by that margin, it would be absolutely ALL OVER THE NEWS. Massive shame, as LPG is a lower cost fuel that reduces emissions, and so many Morrisons forecourts stocked it for a reasonable price before MFG took over. Very disappointed, blatant profiteering.
