Moose paddles are safer than split moose sticks

This company sells various types of dog chews which are natural antler products. I went with the moose antlers since they are more durable. My initial purchase was of two moose "paddles" which are larger chunks of the moose rack cut into sections. Those seem to go pretty well because it's really hard to get much off because of the size and shape of the antler piece. The second order I did the moose antler sticks which are split from the moose antler. This appears to be more dangerous as larger chunks are able to be chewed off and they splinter. One of my dogs ended up vomiting up chunks as a result of chewing these split sticks and it appears she is coughing because there is a sliver in her throat (this was felt when I tried to clear it from her throat with a finger). We did not have that same experience with the moose paddles.
I did alert the company and they do have good customer service. It might be who the purchaser to call or email the company so you can get a better idea of what product would be good for your dog based on the type of chewer and size of the dog.
