Product details

Our bladderwrack powder is ground from organic Fucus vesiculosus, a type of brown seaweed harvested along the cool Atlantic coastal waters. Bladderwrack got its name from its thalli, or “bladders”, that fill with air in order to keep the seaweed afloat. This particular seaweed powder has a high iodine content and can be incorporated into culinary dishes and spice blends. Bladderwrack powder can even be used in body care recipes. Bladderwrack is also called dyer’s focus, red focus, and rockwrack. It is a member of the Fucaceae family. Precautions Seaweeds contain naturally high levels of iodine. This product is harvested from the sea. May contain occasional shell fragments. Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to fish and shellfish. Rare find also. Glad they sell it. Very great sale price. If you study this seaweed it's known for supporting keeping certain environmental toxins lower in the body that can affect the thyroid function and production of needed T4 to work properly. A seaweed that's high mineral and mixes in food with kelp easily.
