I first tried this infusion egg about a month ago and now I use it everyday. I like that even finer particles do not leak out of it and there is is not a metal hook on the end to get caught up dish rack or anything else.

Designed in the shape of an egg this infuser exemplifies smart and simple, the two halves separate easily for cleaning and the tab is weighted to ensure it stays in place. The bottom half is made from food grade stainless-steel and the top half is a stone grey colored food grade silicon. This product is dishwasher safe and BPA-free. Not for stove top or microwave use. The tea egg measures 1 1/2” in diameter and 6” tall. It can hold 1 generous tsp of loose-leaf tea.

The top os soft, not firm like I expected to hang from the side of a pot. Still, I'm very happy with it. It fits perfect in my lunchbox and is easy to clean, holds a rounded teaspoon of herbs.

Never saw an infused tea egg before. So when I saw it on the mountain rose herb website I went for it. It’s very interesting and different. I like unique things. And it comes in handy. The egg tea infuser steeps loose leaf tea very well.
