This aromatic tulsi or holy basil is cultivated by one of our farm partners in the Pacific Northwest. Its unique citrusy yet spicy flavor makes a delightful tea, or interesting addition to dishes where you would use sweet basil. Also known as Thai lemon basil, or hoary basil, kapoor tulsi is the temperate relative to tropical type holy basils long used in the Ayurvedic tradition. Originally found growing in East African countries, this bushy annual tea basil contains many of the same healthful constituents as its more well-known tropical cousins.
