Product details

Oakwood absolute is extracted from the wood of Quercus robur, the common oak. This species is native to Europe, and has been properly nickname the “English Oak.” The Bowthorpe Oak in England is considered one of the oldest oak trees on the planet, and has an estimated age of over 1,000 years. This viscous oil is mostly used in perfumery and can be blended into diffuser blends. It’s heavier properties will round out a blend and weigh it down for a longer lasting aroma. Oakwood oil is a base note with an oaky vanilla and smoky wood scent that is most often used in perfumes and cosmetics. Blends well with juniper berry, cedarwood, eucalyptus, or ginger. Ingredients Oakwood absolute (solvent extracted) and triethyl citrate. Blends Well With Bay, benzoin, bergamot, cedarwood, citrus oils, clary sage, eucalyptus, frankincense, ginger, juniper berry, lavender, oakmoss, rose, sandalwood, vanilla, and ylang ylang Packaging This essential oil is packaged in amber glass bottles with drop reducers for easy application. Precautions This oil can cause skin irritation. Never use essential oils undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children. Before using topically, perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back by applying a small quantity of diluted essential oil and apply a bandage. Wash the area if you experience any irritation. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours it is safe to use on your skin.

This is like wearing an ancient fragrance, from King Arthur’s time, perfect for woodland walks and musings. It smells just like I hoped, earthy woody warm.

Amazing oil. So thick it must be diluted. I love to mix with cedar wood and patchouli.
