Product details
Our white sage essential oil is a middle to top note steam distilled from leaves organically grown by the same reputable source as our cultivated white sage and white sage powder. White sage oil can be used in cleansing, blended into perfumes, salves, hair care, and diffused to set the mood.
The native habitats of this aromatic sage are under great strain. Wild Salvia apiana is at risk for overharvesting and listed under the United Plant Savers “To Watch” list. Growing white sage at home is a wonderful way to build a personal relationship with this beautiful and revered plant. We are proud to work with organic farmers dedicated to sustainable growing methods and healthy land stewardship.
Aroma Powerfully aromatic and camphoraceous. The fresh and bright scent of white sage has cooling, spectral notes.
Constituents This oil can contain 1,8-cineole, camphor, α-pinene, and camphene. The aroma of this oil is like the dried leaves, with aromatic qualities that resemble rosemary and eucalyptus oils.
1,8-cineole (also known as eucalyptol) is also found in eucalyptus oils as well as niaouli, cajeput, marjoram, rosemary. Camphor is a pungent monoterpenoid found in sage, basil, and rosemary oils. α-pinene is a prevalent constituent found in many oils such as juniper berry, Scotch pine, rosemary, St. John’s wort, nutmeg, angelica root, black pepper, and fir needle.
Blending and Uses White sage is well known for its relationship to spiritual practices, and this oil can be diffused for meditation and prayer. It’s a great option for those who desire the aroma but cannot burn sage in their home. Diffusing can help cleanse the air and supporting healthy breathing.
It can be added to salves to promote skin health or for its astringent qualities. Add to shampoo or hair rinses, homemade liquid hand soap, or facial cleansers. This pungent essential oil can be used sparingly in perfume and aromatherapy blends
It combines well with citrus oils like tangerine, bergamot or lemon for refreshing aromatherapy. Blend with lavender and chamomile for a beautiful and calming perfume or aroma spray. It is lovely with earthy oils like frankincense, myrrh, cedar, or pine. Or add a blend of white sage, thyme and rosemary oil to shampoo for an aromatic and scalp stimulating treat.
Packaging 5 mL, 1/2 oz., and 1 oz. essential oils are packaged in amber glass bottles with drop reducers for easy application. Larger sizes are packaged in amber screw cap bottles and do not come with reducers or droppers.
Safety This oil may be high in 1,8-cineole, which can cause CNS and breathing problems in young children. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified healthcare practitioner. Keep away from children and pets.
Before using perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back. Apply a small quantity of properly diluted essential oil and cover with a bandage. If you experience any irritation use carrier oil or cream to further dilute the essential oil on the skin, and wash with soap and water. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours, it is safe to use on your skin. Learn more about using essential oils here.

Best sage out there! 10-12 drops in a spray bottle with distilled water and cleanse your room (or bathroom ;-)) away!!!!
Quality product
This white sage is just right- herbaceous but not overpowering like some other sage essential oils I've experienced in the past. There's a delicate quality to this oil that I really appreciate.
Not as distinctively sage scented as I had hoped but still a nice oil.
