I bought this mower specifically because of its small size, it will fit happily through a garden gate or the side door of our garage and whilst not designed to climb mountains, it will negotiate the slopes on our lawn. The controls are really easy to use and it seems to be quite economical on fuel having used it for well over an hour and a half (in three mowing jobs) with plenty still showing on the easy to fill petrol tank.

Steering terrible if you couldn't call it that regret buying it
Good mower only problem one back wheel keeps loosing air and going flat and it happend before I used it so obviously came as a defect, still to be rectified
Often doesn't start. Quite weak in power. I'm on 52kg and its a good job as i don't think it would cut grass and pull a big bloke up any sort of slope. Still it was only a grand and a half so I suppose you get what you pay for.
Gears are a bit clunky, but otherwise a great little mower - perfect for my needs and a great price
This is a very flimsy and lightweight mower. For a dead flat lawn kept in top condition it would be ok. But for any kind rougher grass or gradients it is totally unusable. It felt unstable and very fragile, huge vibration through the steering wheel and very hard to turn. If considering a Mountfield I would avoid these lower price models - and go for something larger as their lawn tractors are excellent. I was able to send it back and ordered a 1530H which is a brilliant product which performs very well.
The steering isn’t strong enough if you catch a fence it bends the metal steering parts very easily
More than pleased with the product and after sales support.
Easy website to order. Delivery and demonstration of how to use was excellent. Pleased with purchase.
