Mountfield's HP42 is a lightweight and easy to use hand-propelled, petrol-driven mower. The dependable STIGA ST120 123cc Auto choke engine, robust steel chassis and impressive 41cm cutting width combine to produce a hard-working, and reliable lawnmower. This mower features a centralised lever to adjust the cutting height of the blade through 6 positions - depending on the length of grass you are cutting. The grass clippings are blown in a generous 60-litre canvas collection bag complete with bag full indicator.Alternatively to save time and to add nutrients to your lawn, simply fit the mulching plug (supplied with the mower) and clippings are finely cut and redistributed back onto the lawn surface as you mow. Haven’t tried it yet but want to point out the poor delivery. My first order never arrived but the courier apparently marked it as left with a neighbour - I was however not given any notification of this. The replacement arrived yesterday - I came home from a day out to find it sitting on the door step in full view of all passing traffic. I had left a note on the door to ask it to be left with my neighbour. At least I now have a lawn mower after several weeks and numerous phone calls to Italy. I hope I like the product!!!

Bought this one to replace my 25 year old champion lawn mower. I'm very pleased with my purchase, it looks well made and operates easily. The metal deck gives me confidence that it will last another 25 years , I doubt I will !.

Superb quality, the build is very sturdy and the mechanics work precisely. So much easier to use than my old electric. the HP42 was not in stock when I first looked, but I was email immediately it became available. order placed and very fast delivery.
