The small print Assembly Instructions were not easy to follow .The grass catcher is cheaply made.I continue to use the old rigid grass catcher box from the model it replaced

My previous Mountfield lasted 35 years, but finally the height adjustment failed and the grass collection box was split. So I bought a new one of the same mowing width 3 months ago. Whilst the grass collection bag is appreciably smaller, the more powerful motor enables the cutting/fan blade to pack the cuttings into the collector much better. Hence, the collector needs emptying no more often than my previous bigger collector. I have also found that I can successfully mow longer and wetter grass with my new mower. Finally, new mower is lighter and easier to manoeuvre than my old one; a real bonus as at 80+ with a bad back and arthritic hands, I'm not as capable as I used to be !

Despite advice to buy a lawnmower with a larger cut, I decided to downsize from the Electress 38 to the princess 34 due to the mulching facility. This great little lawnmower pack a punch and don’t be deceived by the small blade size or the smaller grass box which holds far more than the Electress due to the grass being compacted into the box. The sturdy handle gives formal control and the bright orange cable does not fall out from the lawnmower or the extension reel. The mulching facility makes light work of mowing by sending the clippings down into the grass. There is a carrying handle and the folding grass box makes storage easier. The only disadvantage is the plastic height control lever and the difficulty of inserting the mulching part into the mower.

A good lawnmower which cuts well and is of a high build quality. The only drawback is the grassbox; it is quite fiddly getting all of the grass out. (it does fill well!) Otherwise excellent.
