The mower itself is very good but the batteries do not last very long and take an age to charge. Plus the grass collector is absolutely useless falls apart very easily

It cuts quite well. Propulsion is not as controllable as I would have liked (I find it difficult to actually run behind the lawnmower). The drive bar was detached one side when I got it out of the box I’m finding it difficult to secure it. The grass box is a bit flimsy. Oh and the battery runs out far too quickly so it looks as though I’ll need to spend another £150. Makes it a v expensive item so not so good vfm. Disappointed!!!!

The SP185 li and E450 battery lasts, on average, some 22 minutes on shortish dry grass. Recharging takes around 100 minutes. It stops frequently if the gass is more than 5cm or at all wet. Assembly is quite easy. The machine with battery is too heavy for one reasonably strong person to lift. Main issues are inability to tackle moderatly length grass, frequent cut outs and limited battery use time.

We opted for this model due to ill health and finding starting our petrol mower too difficult. I was sceptical of buying a battery mower after 30 years of using a Mountfield petrol mower. However, I was not disappointed the quality is almost as good as my old petrol mower and it does just as good a job. My only minor irritation is that the instruction booklet that comes with the mower is not easy to understand. The illustrations are of poor quality and too small. Overall very pleased with my choice though.

The mower works well, the traction is an innovation which helps; the battery is not powerful enough to cut the whole of my lawn and I feel a little diddled into purchasing an additional battery to complete a job.

The Mountfield Mower is a lovely piece of machinery. Our old one lasted for years. However, this one arrived and was faulty. Mountfield were most helpful and obliging and swiftly rectified the situation and refunded after arranging for collection.
