This is my second Mountfield mower. I am pleased with the product., However, the instruction book which comes with it is unnecessarily complicated and badly written.

This product works very well and is very easy to start with no requirement to prime it beforehand, You just pull on the starting chord.
Good mower ,nice and easy to start ,only complaint is the oil filler is a pain to get to.
Easy to assemble
The basket design lets it down. Kept falling apart. Had to fix with cable ties !

Excellent quality, was a problem with parts missing upon delivery, however when Mountfield were contacted they dispatched the missing items immediately!
A great lawn mower. Easy to set up. Easy to start and makes cutting the grass a dream
Simply the best !!!!!!
The mower itself is lovely, quite quiet for a petrol mower, but, the grass collector falls apart when you take it from the machine. We tried a full collection and a light collection but the netting comes away from the plastic, very very disappointing. Since writing this we were advised by Stiga Ltd that we had the grass collector netting inside out and to reverse it and try again, we did this and you can hear the netting click into the plastic lid, we are very happy with our purchase.
Easy to set up. Easy to use. Heavy, my garden has a few slopes which the lawnmower is hard to navigate through as it just wants to slide down.
As I have said elsewhere, in general I think it terrific and excellent value for money but oh dear - the need constantly to reattach the netting to the plastic surround of the grass collector is infuriating. To have the netting permanently attached rather than simply being slotted in and then falling out whenever a bump is hit is a drawback and is why I give only 4 stars for quality rather than 5
Avoid any mower with this grass box. It falls to bits every five minutes irrespective of how full it is. You then have to painstakingly reattach the floppy bottom half to the stiff lid. This is a total drag and I'm going to either epoxy or return mine. Any company who would expect a customer to put up with this obviously dysfunctional design should be avoided. Mulching only works during a heatwave.
