Scammers
Scammers! Avoid.
Moved my girlfriends furniture from Sweden to the UK. Gave a quote and then added on costs based on extra items not listed. There was not one item extra. £800 extra!! Emails, phonecalls and writing to them asking what items were extra were all ignored. The local mover here in the uk confirmed there were no extra items.
Even lost a table top in the move process and denied it was ever in there.
This is a disgrace
This is a disgrace. We used them but nothing went right. Poor movers didnt know what i ordered or what to do. Distance was off by 48 km and the movers wanted money off me since the order said 2 km. Make your life easier by using something like 2 men with a van.
Today i also got an email that my payment is stuck. I paid in full 7 months ago. Hacked or?

These guys are total cowboys - avoid
These guys are total cowboys: avoid, avoid, avoid.
We booked through them for a complicated move from London to Germany, involving 6 months of storage. They don't do the move themselves - they match up your requirements with the best offers from their moving 'partners'. So they are just an IT hub, which means customer service is key, but they are almost impossible to get on the phone.
Their 'partner' for our move was Day & Night logistics, who sent one young Polish guy who spoke little English and had no experience of moving furniture. He had no idea that we'd paid for the packing service, so had come with no packing materials. Furthermore, there was no way he could pack a two-bed flat by himself, so we had to spend a day working with him. We finished the job after midnight , and he took away just the boxes we had packed, not the furniture.
Next day (after frantic calls to Move24's UK callcentre, eventually answered), the same guy returned, having got as far as Belgium before he was instructed to turn around by his boss. This was meant to be our move-out date, but he arrived at 6pm, so we had to postpone for the following day. This time he had a colleague to help move the furniture, but they had no blankets or padding for any of our things, and more or less wedged them into the lorry regardless.
Attempts to get a reckoning from Move24 were slow and tortuous. In the end, they offered £100 compensation for the £250 packing service we hadn't received, and the collection one day late.
But the best was yet to come. When our things were taken out of storage and delivered to us in Germany, they were in an appalling state. Once again, no padding had been used for the transport, so there were great greasy black handprints on much of the upholstery, damage to most of the wooden furniture, including broken chair legs and great gouges elsewhere. Our pictures had been stored on the ground, in a wet environment, so they were all mouldy, and our clothes were all in a heap at the bottom of the hanging wardrobe boxes we'd bought. Everything was damp and mouldy and had to be cleaned.
The UK company was impossible to contact, replying to neither email or phone, and the German parent company failed to help us. Only by hassling the company's insurer in Germany did we manage to make progress, otherwise we would still be paying for the €1000s of damage from our own pockets.
Next time I will pay the extra to use a reputable, experienced company, rather than spinning the wheel with Move24 and hoping for the best.
everything went smoothly
Smooth experience
This was my first time using a moving service so I have no similar experience to compare with. But I must say that I was very happy with my move from Malmö to Lund. At first I was a bit sceptic to handling the entire move online and I found it strange that I was not in direct contact with the actual movers until three days before the move. I also think that Move24 can update their homepage and make it easier for their costumers fill out and change the “inventory list”. The calculations for volume and the price you pay are based on this, so it’s important to get this right. However, on the actual moving day everything went very smooth, the movers (Annelunds Flytt & Städ) were on time, they were very service minded and did a very good job and the payment had already been processed by the time I moved into my new place.
Horrible experience overall
Horrible experience overall.
When you called them for a quotation, they appeared to be all nice and responsive and speak English very well. They quoted 1500EUR and urged me to pay to secure a slot on Thursday. So I immediately made the payment (30%), then another payment (40%).
After the payments are made, everything changed. When I tried to call them, they never let me speak to a person (customer service client) - it's always an automatic machine that directs you somewhere else. The waiting is always around 15 - 20 minutes (I have called at least 10 times)
After the payment, they told me that they still can not confirm the exact time on Thursday. I said but that's 3 days to do we are talking about, and I need to arrange myself so I need the exact time now. They delayed and delayed. In the end, they called and said that the move will be on Friday! I was furious because I have an appointment to leave the apartment ('etat de lieux') on Thursday.
Another point to note is that they are extremely overpriced for their services. After being so disappointed with their services, I called 2 other companies who gave me a quotation below 1000EUR. I wanted to cancel Move24 but they said that I can't.
So now I am stuck. The move is not confirmed on Thursday, as they promised. I don't know when they come, and I can not cancel this horrible experience.
The people who work for this kind of company should feel really ashamed because they are lying to the ear of customers on a daily, regular basis.
They never showed up
They never showed up, despite the contract we made. Due to that we had extra costs and a lot of extra work. They don't answer my mail about my extra cost. If you need a lot of problems hire this company - otherwise don't.

Stolen Items
I have moved several times, and can definitely say that Move24 has been the worst experience. Some of the very expensive furniture item did not arrive. The handler kept telling me that it is in his warehouse and that he will deliver is shortly. After repeated emails and calls, there was no response.
Move24 then promised to refund me the amount for my furniture. Despite the insurance, they have done nothing so far. This process started on 3rd July. Today is 10th October. No resolution.

Please don't use this company!!! Moved on 28th January, promised 2 vans and 4 people with a packing service! Subcontractors turned up, only 1 van and 2 very rude Eastern European guys.Very abrupt. No packing service so had to manage by getting extra help! No dust sheets , dirty van ,muddy shoes. My goods were damaged , and after putting in my complaint in February, I am still waiting for compensation!
I was recently widowed, and had to move so was trusting this company to make the process stress free.
I had to spend the following day finding extra help and paying for a man with a van as my move wasn't completed

Avoid at all costs
I gave the platform a try to give smaller moving companies a chance, but it has been the worst moving experience ever. Don't be fooled by the IT platform:
- Poor estimations
- Amateur handling
- No personal service where each time contact is made, the person needs to read through the whole case to understand any claim
- Untrustworthy delivery schedules (trucks delayed over 24h, poor communication and even part of the delivery happening a month later)
- Claims brushed off and ignored
Not to mention the poor, incompetent and rude client service.
Please read this and take a wiser decision. ALL my furniture is ruined and I have to go the lawyer route to try to claim some form of compensation.
Smooth removal, worth the try
Handling a removal entirely online is completely new to me. Initially I found it strange that I was not in contact with the actual movers until three days before the removal. However, everything turned out just perfect: the movers were on time, did a good job, the payment had already been processed by the time I moved into my new place. Not exactly personalised but everything went really well. Just think that you make a complete inventory when you book. The calculations for volume and the price you pay are based on this. So, if you get this right, it should be completely hassle-free. I may return for my next removal.
Find something else
The agreed time was pushed back just 1 day before the moving day. I had to buy new tickets, and even then, I got no compensation.
First the booking went really well
Only the booking went really well, really friendly and helpful but as soon as they took the money, the emails started!
First, we had to change the date. Ok, I agreed to it.
Then they said they would come for the removals at 13:00!! We agreed at 9am. A whole day wasted when I had already postponed my plans to suit their busy schedule. I complained and it was pushed back to 9am.
Then I get another email... they will come anytime between 9am and 11am!!
What am I supposed to do for 2hrs?
How many more emails and changes will there be till moving day?
Totally unacceptable. Thieving, liars and I now have no idea what time they will come round, if at all, but they were quick at taking my money though.
Do not trust this company. They will rob you and mess you about.
COWBOYS, Please avoid!!!
We moved from Kent to Greater Manchester at end of February (27th) this year, all went well, so far. We read the small prints on the contract and got hints from email reminders from the company, so we made sure that we counted our boxes & items pretty accurately! At the end of loading, one of the two vans was only half full, so I asked the removal guys if I could put my two empty laundry baskets ( one inside another) in his van with two small indoor plants inside as he still had so much room left. I also said not to worry if they are charging me for this, both me and my husband drive and I'm sure we can fit them in one of our cars! The guys took the baskets over and said that's ok.
One week later we had the email through with the final invoice, no outstanding balance to pay, exactly what we expected it to be. It was such a smooth move, I received an email to rate them on Truepilot and get £25 Amazon vouchers, why not, I thought, hence the fabulous review posted on 2nd March by myself.
HOWEVER, I received an email 3 weeks later with an invoice of £45 charge for excess items. I called them straight away and questioned it. After the initial "you had two washing baskets and two plant pots which were not on the list" statement, I explained that they had already sent me a FINAL invoice after the move and it clearly stated £0 balance, nothing more to be paid from us! I questioned " Is it even legal for you to send another invoice after a final invoice?" The guy on the phone in reply said " Probably not"! Then he went to ask his manager about the whole situation and came back and said "as a good will gesture, since you have been a valuable customer and left good online reviews, the manager would waive the charge this time". I left it as it is.
They held my credit card details for over 6 months, took £45 out of my bank account in July, WITHOUT my acknowledgement, WITHOUT my authorization! I spoke with my bank who tried to reverse the transaction but Move24 put in a dispute, so in short, there's nothing the bank can do, I had to contact Move24 directly to resolve, but of course they would never answer my call! My husband tried to call from his phone, it went through, but after they heard the reason, he was put on hold and eventually, cut off!
I won't waste more of my time and money on them for the sake of £45, but I have reported my own review from March and reposted this one to warn others, please avoid these cowboys!!!
Would recommend!
I was super happy with my move (göteborg - sweden)
The boys called before hand, they were super fast and friendly. They exceeded the service i paid for when they realised i was unable to put the bedframe back together (i only paid for dismanteling not assemble ) And they were so fast. And i can tell you it was not an easy job as the stairs to my apartment were narrow as it's an old house. The opporators at the company were also very helpful and kept close contact with me pre move day. I also got a really good price, so i cannot fault this at all, when i move again i'll contact them again!
