Absolutely terrible company, has bad solicitors it recommends (obviously just paid and are not worried about their standards) and just make excuses for them, the solicitors we had to use due to our mortgage broker (Morrison ward, avoid at all costs) cust us over £3000 in additional costs and was terrible for communicating, and all moving legal did was laugh about it, cannot rate low enough.

Appalling they can even answer the phone- do not use

I was contacted via linkedin by one of the sales team at movinlegal - she introduced the service and passed me to another person who was based in my area. I was impressed that this was done at the end of the day and turned around before close of play. I had an account created and a coffee booked in for the next day for a demo of the system and to answer any questions i had. Since then Ive had my first case complete using wade and wade who were fantastic all the way through and updated the portal for me so i can feed back to my client who has just left me a 5 star review and referred more business my way. i highly suggest using movinlegal!!

I instructed a solicitor to complete the conveyancing of my help to buy remortgage through Movin Legal. My buying decision was on the basis of the quote provided by Movin Legal, the scope of work was clear (help to buy remortgage) I accepted the quote with Michael Cook Law. A number of superfluous charges were made as the process went on, including a new build surcharge of £120, despite the fact my house is 5 years old and the lender (Nationwide) only classify new build as <3 years. Most significantly was the help to buy fee, clearly listed as a disbursement of £200, which I paid with Target but then Michael Cook Law charged it as a fee and added VAT. Sean of Movin Legal (ops director) did nothing to hold Michael Cook Law to account…how can consumers make an informed buying decision if there is scope for the solicitors to operate in this way. Movin Legal simply ignored me. Movin Legal get paid their referral fee, and then don’t care what happens next, I would encourage consumers to think carefully before accepting a quote via their service.
