Mid-Sussex Timber is a direct Importer and one of the largest stockist of Timber in Sussex; specialising specifically in Softwoods, as well as a wide selection of Hardwoods, Panel Products, Doors and Window Frames. Our East Grinstead branch offers our largest comprehensive showroom stocking a wide range of products for the needs of both professionals and DIY. There is also a rebuilt ”drive-thru” Timber store with up to date sheet cutting facilities. The Forest Row site, 3 miles south of East Grinstead, has modern milling machinery capable of producing any profile or bespoke moulding, our mill also produces all sizes of sawn timber specialising in longer lengths (over 8m) and larger dimensions (300mm). Also on site we have 3 pressure treatment plants offering, green, brown and clear treatment options for any sawn or planed timber we may produce or any customers timber that may need treatment. Haywards Heath and Crowborough Branches both offer cross cutting and sheet cutting services in central locations within their town’s, alongside comprehensive stock holdings of both Timber and Building Materials. Across the branches we stock an ever expanding range of Building Materials. From Aggregates in either 25kg or bulk bags, to bricks, blocks, insulation and lintels, cement and plaster products, drainage accessories, manhole covers, paving slabs and much more. We are members of the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF) and Timber Development UK (TDUK) as well as holding Chain of Custody Certificates for both FSC® and PEFC schemes.

Appalling customer service for 74 year old and woman

Yesterday my 74 year old husband and daughter had to load up 1.5 tons of timber whilst at least 3 employees stood around watching! Not allowed to touch anything due to COVID they said, or we might damage your van were the excuses although they managed to help other people collecting at the same time! It took my husband and daughter an hour to load. At one point they took it off their machine and put it on the floor and said "we're going home" HOW DISGUSTING is this behaviour, I just hope it happens to them someday when they need help loading something. They just couldn't be bothered......
