Defective hoodie received – company refuses replacement

I ordered a hoodie from Multiply Apparel and received an item with a clearly defective front print. The design is visibly faded/erased and looks rubbed off, which makes the hoodie look worn and damaged straight out of the package.

I contacted customer support immediately and provided clear photos. However, they refused to acknowledge it as a manufacturing defect and claimed it is “normal texture/pixelation due to printing technique and lighting.” They also refused to offer a replacement and only suggested returning the item under their standard return policy.

In my opinion, this is unacceptable customer service. The product I received does not match the quality shown on their website, and the company is not willing to take responsibility for a defective item.

I do not recommend ordering from them if you expect proper quality control and fair customer support.

I’ve ordered their hoodies several…

I’ve ordered their hoodies several times for both my sister and myself. They all were delivered super quickly, and the quality is just amazing - they’re so soft on the inside - I absolutely love them😍 The designs are also cool, with plenty to choose from.

literally the most comfortable hoodies I have. I hope that in the near future there will be more colors of hoodies because I plan to buy even more things

Return policy is just a shame

Return policy is just a shame. It's says that the return is free and in the end you have to pay for your return. Customer service is also a shame. Telling me that I'm the first one that's complaining but on Trustpilot are other also complaining about the return policy. It says everything about the company ! Don't buy from them

Dear Multiply and Trustpilot viewers,

Thank you for your response, but I feel the need to clarify some points for the sake of transparency.

As a long-time customer who owns many Multiply products, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I’ve always loved your brand, but the way my feedback has been handled has truly been the last straw.

Regarding the color of the hoodie, your response suggests that no complaints have been received. That doesn’t negate the fact that the item I received looked nothing like the photos on your website. The color was dull and washed-out, as if it had been through dozens of washes.

As for the return policy, your website explicitly states: “The costs for the return shipment are borne by the buyer." and a few sentences below "The return is free.” Nothing on this page indicates that this has something to do with German customers only. These contradictory statements caused confusion, and I even shared screenshots of this with your team. Instead of acknowledging the inconsistency or apologizing for the confusion, you simply reiterated your policy without addressing the actual issue.

Had I received a sincere apology or acknowledgment of the misleading information, my trust in Multiply might have been restored. Instead, your dismissive response has solidified my decision to never order from Multiply again.

I am happy to share the screenshots I provided to Multiply via email to illustrate the conflicting information for anyone interested. Transparency matters, and customers deserve clear communication and respectful handling of their concerns.

Multiply, I hope this review serves as an opportunity for reflection. It’s not just about one hoodie, it’s about how loyal customers like me are treated when issues arise.

I used to be a big fan of Multiply, but my recent experience has completely changed that. The hoodie I ordered looked nothing like the photo on the website – the color was much duller, as if it had been washed many times.

When I pointed out the misleading and contradictory return information on their website, I received a generic response that didn’t address my concerns. Despite returning the item and sharing constructive feedback, they haven’t updated the incorrect information or provided a proper reply.

The lack of accountability and care for customer feedback is shocking. I won’t be ordering from Multiply again, and I can’t recommend them to others.

Regarding the color discrepancy, we'd like to point out that we haven't received any complaints about the color of the Oversize Hoodie History Cadet. If there had been such issues, we would have made adjustments accordingly.

As for your return, we'd like to clarify that our return policy clearly states that returns from Germany are free of charge. This has been the case since September 2024. We hope this information is helpful, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

My girlfriend (164cm 70kg) bought a jacket from this brand for herself. The jacket was way too big for her. It fit me (187cm 95kg) like a glove. That’s where the first issues started. Upon looking for returns I saw bad reviews so, being afraid of losing the money, I kept the jacket for myself.

The quality is very bad. Threads came undone in about a weeks time and now (5 months later) the zipper has already come undone about 4 or 5 times.

Stay away from this brand

I bought one of their sweaters like 3 months ago on zalando and I absolutely love it !! It’s good quality, I washed it multiple times and it doesn’t move a bit, it’s perfect ! I’ll certainly buy another one soon

NO RESPONSE

Ordered a hoodie, but cancelled it 10 minutes after. Filled in a form on their website and sent it to them by email. However no respose after two mails sent by me. I recieved the hoodie but don't want it, and returning costs money! Unbelievable! Good shipment but extremely bad customer service!
