It’s just incredibly expensive for what you get, as a home user to use it maybe once or twice a year is scandalous. There are better alternatives with a one off purchase model less than the cost of a year. The whole built in mechanic, everyone can use Google so don’t be fooled into thinking that’s worthwhile.

Did not want to read fault codes on one of my cars, support could not help me make it work, but offered money back. It works on my other cars so i dont want a refund.
It takes very long for the app to read the fault codes, and my phone (brand new iPhone 17 Pro Max) gets very hot when reading or deleting fault codes. Does not make sense that an app like this should demand that much processing power. Other than that it works pretty much as intended, but just takes so long to read and delete codes.

The Carly setup didn’t work at all and awaiting refund for more than a month. All they do is keep asking same questions again and again via their tickets.
Screenshots to logs all provided and they don’t bother as long as you bought it. Please also note they have an auto renewal and no customer service whatsoever. Please refrain from buying Carly. BimmerCode is much more reliable and offer better service.

This device smaller than my Autel scanner gave me the same code but less direction of were the issue was

Not good! Paid for one year and the unit was gift! Couldn’t scan any of my cars as been told need to pay to show the errors! Absolutely waste of time and money

It’s ok for basic fault codes. Gets stuck wen u try investigating more into faults and doesn’t really let u do much customisation for Audi. Waste of money and a million percent won’t be renewing

Im use on BMW E70, Fault code scanning take too long, no transmission special function ( such as clear adaptation, oil change reset, etc), exhaust flap function not available, and much more option cant be use.

Nothing available if you don't subscribe.
You've bought a device, you first plug it on a recent car, recently checked, many errors and problems discovered. None of them really tells anything. If you want to know more... subscribe.
The ad suggests you can save bucks with this. But in reality, you need to pay once more... every month.

Carly is a terrible app for technicians and probably just about anyone else. Not only is the actual implementation of a scanner fall well short of what’s acceptable, but it costs a significant amount annually and to boot they put ads in the app that you can’t get rid of. My recommendation is to avoid Carly. Expensive and it doesn’t do half of what it promises to do.

I want to cancel the subscription, but I can't get through.

My warranty replacement was shipped with incorrect customs documentation. Under US customs rules, free warranty replacements are not subject to customs duties. However, because Carly failed to indicate that this was a free replacement on the customs form, I was forced to pay over $30 in customs and carrier fees.
To make matters worse, the customer service refused to acknowledge the mistake or correct the form. This is horrible service, and I will be advising everyone to stay away from Carly.

Not able to clear the fault codes, old codes keep appering.
I contacted the support department. They cannot resolve it and are having it investigated further. When I inquired after a week, the complaint had been closed without offering me a solution or informing me. If I have it scanned with ISTA+, are the errors not present?

After the last update my carly stopped working, cant connect via bluetooth anymore

Used carlyctn sort my air flow meter which I found had a 6x4 bit of plastic stuck in it which had gotten past the air filter. Must have been there a while as it's not possible to do that except when a mechanic lets it happen. Changed garage as a result.
Completely incompatible with new cars with sfd2. Ask for a refund and to cancel as its useless to me but just got a 3 month extension which is also useless to me. If you have a VAG car from 2024 onwards don't waste your money.

Allowed me to diagnose and resolve a MAF sensor issue thus no need for expensive garage bill.
