Founded in 2007, MyCheekyDate hosts sophisticated, host-led speed dating events in 50+ cities worldwide. Recognized as an Eventbrite Top Organizer, our events use a proprietary, algorithmic, smartphone-based Smart-Card matching system. Every guest is supported by The Cheeky Guarantee for cancellations, reschedules, and flexible guest schedule changes. MyCheekyDate has hosted more than 26,000 events across 50+ cities over the past decade and has been featured in outlets including The New York Times and The New Yorker. Our Smart-Card allows guests to privately select who they would like to see again, receive mutual-interest results, and participate in a broader matching ecosystem. Using machine-learning supported interest signals, the Smart-Card helps identify real-world attraction patterns from live events that may inform future speed dating events, invite-only experiences, members-only gatherings, and Curated Introductions. The Cheeky Guarantee keeps guest options clear: if MyCheekyDate cancels or reschedules an event, guests may request a refund. If a guest’s own plans change, their ticket remains valid as flexible credit for any future MyCheekyDate event, at any time, with any amount of notice.

I bought a ticket at the beginning of December and I’ve been rescheduled
four times, and each time they send an apology email the day of and ask me to pick a new date. I’ve been single for a couple of years, my nerves are shot getting my hopes up and dashed repeatedly. They refuse to refund me my money. Don’t waste your money and feelings on this junk!

They abruptly cancel the event without option to refund. A customer service rep CALLS me at 6pm on a FRIDAY to try to intimidate me from not leaving reviews.
Edit: see below on how unhinged their customer service reps are. The event was apparently cancelled because people dropped out and it's clear why. Avoid.

I like this company. The venues are a good mix of a relaxed atmosphere with more class than a club or bar scene. The number of people and time commitment is digestible and I like that the men rotate around the women. I’ve never had any issues communicating with them via email. Highly recommend, super fun!

I've done multiple events in Phoenix. They're always hosted at cute little venues, and the organizers are always super friendly. The quality of daters is a mixed bag, but that's to be expected given the nature of the service. My only criticism is the fact that age ranges are sometimes ignored. Repeatedly. The range I fall into is usually 25-38, or something similar, and someone will sit down across from you and casually tell you they're in their 40s or 50s, which can make for an awkward few minutes. Maybe add an option for a wide age range?

It was an outstanding experience I have ever had during my first time in Speeddating events. For next time, I just need to know or familiarise how I can contact the lady whom I matched with. Because I did not know the precise procedure right after attending the event. If I will attend the event for second time, I just need further instructions how to connect and contact my ideal matches. Thanks very much for this opportunity.

Event was cancelled twice. When I requested a refund, the organizer refused to process it and repeatedly redirected me elsewhere instead of resolving the issue. I was spoken to in a dismissive, patronizing way and never received a refund. Poor customer service and an unnecessarily frustrating experience.

I signed up and it's been months without a single date. The 'elaborate' matchmaking process can fit onto one page of paper. They're refusing to refund my money due to some kind of a clause in the fine print saying that they can take as long as they want.
EDIT: After posting this the company reached out to me to tell me too bad. There's plenty of other dating companies out there, don't waste your time or money with this one.
EDIT 2: Just to reply to their jargon below. I signed up with several matchmaking services, and attended at least 3 of their speeddating events this year. I wasn't even complaining about their speedating, but since they wanted to bring it up... They keep claiming only 1 time to me, as if it's worth me digging out the receipts over this. The speeddating events ranged from okay to poorly mismanaged, their blind dating service is unfortunately no better. The other matchmaking companies all had multiple dates in the time it's taken this company to find zero. It really shouldn't be a challenge to find a date for a vicefree in shape guy making 6 figures that's vacationed on 2 different continents this year, but somehow only this one company struggled. Their screening questions are more shallow than most dating apps. It's A/S/L, what's your job, height, what are your likes and dislikes. I'm pleased to say that I'm in a happy place right now thanks to the other matchmaking services. It's a shame that I can't get a refund for this money pit, all I can do is warn others away. Keep trying and you can find someone too... just don't look here.

I enjoyed my experience at the events I have attended. People are friendly and quite pretty too.

This is basically a scam. Booked 2 events with them, never been able to attend one because they keep canceling. For 3 times in a row a re booked and received an email few hours before the event saying that it was cancelled. Booked the first event in September, in December I still couldn't attend because they keep canceling on me. Last time was almost funny: sent an email to them to confirm that I was included in the event, they confirmed, got back to me 2h later saying that they were cancelling. And of course no refund. This is a scam.

Everyone was really kind. Met a lot of great people. Highly recommend.

My experiences with MyCheekyDate have been consistently positive! While I have not yet met my long-term partner, I always enjoy meeting many new women in a row in one evening. The scoring system being done online with results that night is extremely dater-friendly.

I signed up for a paid July 17th event in Chicago, only for it to get postponed FIVE! times, the last of which was scheduled for September 27th. Per Eventbrite’s policies, I then asked for a refund since the service I paid for wasn’t ever delivered within a 45-day period, and a refund was promised within another 15 business days, but I STILL never received one. They need better customer service and might benefit from not allowing reschedules to go along with their “no refund” policy. If someone needs to reschedule, have that customer miss out on potential matches and their money, not the customer who always intended to go. At the very least, the participants could possibly make 1 or 2 new friends, even if it’s awkward at first and not exactly what they paid for. That would still be better than nothing at all.

They had a last-minute cancellation with a couple of hours' notice, which was unprofessional. When this happens, an event host should offer a refund. Unfortunately, that's not the case, and I wasted $40 on an event since the alternative dates don't work with my schedule. I've seen other bad reviews of their events, and unfortunately, this seems like a trend for them. Definitely don't recommend any of their events based on this experience.

My first cheeky date experience had a good number of people showing up. Lots of connections. Slightly loud at that venue. Would recommend!

It was great to be able to meet a few potential quality people in mix, I think could benefit if allowed for a more opportunity to connect after

The host did a great job of making everyone feel welcome and made for an enjoyable experience!

I have been to a few of these events. I prefer when they happen at a bar or restaurant with comfortable seats and good lighting. There are a few the frquently happen at a champagne bar/ lounge that has very dim lighting -- which is of course ideal for the venue in general, but not great from a speed dating perspective.

I've been going on speed dates with cheeky date for a while, and it's always a nice experience. Nice venues, interesting people and mostly well organized. A great way to make a good connection.
