MyScript App for Livescribe SmartPen does not work and MyScript is not prepared to solve the problem or refund the money that I paid for the app

- Title: MyScript app or OCR for Livescribe SmartPen
- Company: MyScript
- Product: MYScript app or OCR (recognize text in scanned documents) for Livescribe SmartPen
- Problem: App does not work and MyScript is not prepared to solve the problem or refund the money that I paid for the app
- Review: I bought the app (not a license) in the past from MyScript for it to be used with my Livescribe SmartPen in any Windows Descktop/Laptop. The MyScript app could be used in any computer with Windows and in the case that I needed to change or upgrade my computer, I would contact MyScript and they would give me an activation code for me to include in the app installed in the new/refurbished computer (this is like you transfer your Office 365 to another computer and re-enter activation code). This is what was included in the product disclosure of the product given to me and marketing material of the Company. However I recently contacted MyScript because my computer had the hard drive damaged and I had to upgrade it and re-install all apps again, including MyScript for Livescribe. I contacted MyScript and asked a code to activate the app and they told me that they retired the product and they could not give me a code for it. I asked them a solution based on their product disclosure or money back but they refused. I said to them that if car makers use the same approach, we had to buy cars every year because they do not produce the same car again and the car would stop after one year of use (this does not happen because the car continues to work until the end of life).
