was late in responding, so i have already gone a head & replaced the radiator with a metric one.The advise given was good

Rusty radiators
I have a brand new house, and the developer installed Myson radiators. After just 6 months the radiators started to rust and paint started peeling off them! Contacted Myson who weren’t in the slightest bit interested in this at all. No aftercare. The radiators should last a reasonable amount of time. I am going to report to Trading Standards as should not be able to sell faulty radiators to customers. Looking at other reviews seems like there is a manufacturing issue with these radiators.

Update For Myson & Thank You Michael....
Hi,
I would like to make an ammendment to my original Myson Review 2/4/24 & in particular say Thank You to Michael(hope i spelt it right) for being very Patient whilst we went through the Myson Heating Pt2....
Honestly i did find it very tricky to work through the manual(s) way too many options that then leads to confusion...
However - Thanks to Michael & his Patience we are in a much better place & feel that my original objective ( to be eable to maunally turn on & off without having to resort to this or that programme has been achieved)
So it looks like i have bucked the trend on Myson Reviews - Thanks Rob

Myson Towel Rail MRR8W
I have now experienced a weld fault on original and 2 replacement Towel Rails in one location over 13 years.
2 other identical Myson Towel Rails on system, neither of which have experienced a problem.
Water system checks by Fernox satisfactory.
System design by bona fide Services Consultant, installation by qualified Plumbing Contractors all overseen by myself, a qualifed architect.
I am wondering if there is a 'Post Office' syndrome prevailing as I am told by Myson Customer Service that my problem is unique....apparently Myson have return rate of less than 0.1%.
Leaving aside initial high purchase cost, the installation of replacement Towel Rails has been hugely expensive and inconvenient and am now faced with sourcing alternative specification with associated disturbance of finishes.
From previous posts it appears there is a history of product failure, so am I unique?

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! I telephoned Myson for some advice about a faulty radiator. I was promised a call back, it never happened. I then filled out a contact form on the website hoping that someone from Myson would reply. There has been no reply. I am an installer not general public but they still don't want to know. Avoid Myson is my advice!!

Cheap & Poor support
Dont believe any "warranty" that proclaim with radiators.
Significant corrosion after 1 year and they refuse to acknowledge it stating not covered. Seen radiators 40 years old in better condition
Myson towel abysmal quality
Had a Myson towel rail fitted 9 months ago. It's started rusting at the bottom with paint peeling off.
As per others in this thread, Myson say it can only have happened due to poor installation. We have used the same installers for various projects over the last 15 years but never had an issue with other brands.
Myson offered some touch up paint, which must have a magic rust curing ingredient if they believe that will fix everything.
Avoid at all costs or pay again in less than a year to replace them.
Myson rads were guaranteed 25 yrs but…
Myson rads were guaranteed 25 yrs but ours began leaking at 26. This may seem reasonable but the rad has never been used to dry clothes and the system has always contained a double dose of Fernox. When removed the leak was a poor spot weld where the convector fins joined the rad body. The size was 1460mm x 530 and only one manufacturer supplies it -- yes it's Myson and they want £430 !!
The other rads in our system are all Stelrad, some even older than our leaky Myson, and still look like new. As money is tight we replaced with Screwfix Flomaster, looks and works fine at one-third of the price.
Myson Premier Compact radiator
Good looking round top radiators from Myson are expensive. I've bought six of them (Myson Premier Compact) and two DeLonghi radiators because Myson did not have it in certain sizes.
The paint on all of our Myson round top radiators have cracked and started to peel off. No problem with the other two DeLonghi radiators. The most annoying part is Myson Premier Compact radiators are not even cheap. People saying buy English radiators because they are good quality. :)
I can only say that not to buy Myson Premier Compact radiators.
Absolute garbage
Absolute garbage, poor system, unresponsive thermos, WiFi system is like something from the 90’s and it takes 4 hours for a room to hit any kind of temp increase (yes I’ve measured) garbage system, garbage company and garbage developers who use it
Low quality, short lifespan - avoid
My new build has 10 year old Myson radiators and almost all their radiators have problems. Many are corroding and the quality is obviously very poor. There's a problem with fiddly bleed valves which leak after you bleed the radiators only a few times. Buy a different brand and avoid very low quality rubbish.
Requested details of a radiator made by…Myson
Requested details of a radiator made by Myson in 2008
Their reply stated that they did not make that model. Some one could not be bothered . Obviously the company does not value its reputation. The very least they could have said that the item was too old to be able to help
Myson - why would you?
Can only agree with the other poor reviews. Just moved into a new build with heating controlled by a Myson Touch 2. It just switches off randomly. 4 days in we have no heating and no help. If you are buying a new house, ask who provides the thermostats and then vote with your feet!
btw: our experience is similar to our new neighbours!
All of our Myson Premier HE roundtop…
All of our Myson Premier HE roundtop radiators have started to crackle glaze on the top. Not cheap and everyone has gone the same. Avoid at all lengths. Customer care rubbish.
Avoid this company!
I too have been in touch with Myson regarding two radiators installed on a new system in 2016. The system was cleaned and flushed and inhibitor added. I sent photo’s . The first teply suggested that maybe the air vents were over tightened so not covered under warranty. I took some more photo’s and was told sorry its still not a warranty issue, as if it was a manufacturing problem they would have leaked much earlier. So I am really not sure how anyone claims under there so called 10 year warranty! I have been installing radiators for over 30 years and these two are the only ones to have this problem. Back to Stelrad much more reliable. Myson don’t have any reps to discuss and help with issues like this either. I , as a professional installer advise people to avoid Myson products. Their after service is very poor and seem to avoid admitting any negligence. Maybe that’s how they are trained!
This is obviously a common issue after reading other reviews!
I alway thought Myson to be a quality manufacturer, I was wrong!
POOR QUALITY MYSON RADIATOR
Having to replace a 3-year-old Myson Radiator because of corrosion at the top. I contacted Myson to explain what had happened and asked for a replacement under the 10-year guarantee but they have refused and have been very unhelpful. I would not recommend MYSON radiators.
Bought a Kickstart Heater. DISAPPOINTED
Bought a Kickstart Heater for the kitchen and like another review on here found the issue of pairing the remote control with the heater difficult (took almost an hour).
I don't want a remote control anyway. I just want to switch the heater on when I want to and switch if off when I want to. I'm sure there's people that might want to programme it (eg. to come on 10 minutes before you get out of bed) but with a 3kW fan heater its heated up the kitchen in a couple of minutes anyway.
And what happens when the rechargeable batteries in the remote control run out and I come down one cold January morning and the remote control doesn't work. There's no manual override to the remote control to turn the heater on!!! There is always a 2-3 second delay between the remote control and the heater so you think you've pressed the wrong button and start pressing others which just creates confusion. All this just seems technology for technology sake.
I wanted a brushed steel front plate but the heater comes with white as standard and you have to purchase other finishes separately. Ridiculous. Waste of money for the consumer and a waste of resource.
Myson radiators have quality problems
Myson radiators have quality problems, corrode badly. House is only 7 years old, all Myson radiators have corrosion problems on outside. Have replaced a few, but most are chipped & need touch up as they seems to rust badly. Have used Stelrad in previous property and am now changing to these, supprised to see they are about 40% cheaper as well.
Bought a Myson Kickspace Eco heater
Bought a Myson Kickspace Eco heater. Two main issues: it comes with a white front grill as standard. If you want another finish (eg. brown or brushed steel) its extra ranging from c. £39 to £79! Scandalous. Why they can't sell the heater on its own and then you choose your front grill is beyond me. So, I'm left with a white front grill that I don't want and had to spend extra just to get another finish.
The second issue is that you can only operate this heater on the heater mode (as opposed to cool air) by using the remote control that comes with it. It took myself and my experienced electrical contractor over 80 minutes to pair the two devices including two calls to the Myson helpdesk. At the first call they were all at lunch! Very helpful - not. Most helpdesks stagger their staff's lunchtimes. I can understand why some people want a remote control and want to programme timings and holiday modes etc. I don't. I just want a heater that I can manually switch on when I come down in the morning and switch off when I want to. Simple. None of this was helped by the helpdesk admitting that the manual that came with the heater has been updated which is why I might explain why I was having problems pairing the two devices! Again, how helpful is that. Myson used to have a good name but judging by my recent experience and other reviews here, that reputation seems to have been seriously tarnished.
