MyWOT is flooded with spam and fake reviews that destroy the credibility of legitimate websites. Even worse, trying to get anything corrected is a complete waste of time. You can contact them repeatedly, and nothing happens — the inaccurate or malicious reviews stay up. The platform seems poorly moderated and unreliable. At this point, I can’t trust anything I see on MyWOT!

I have tried to get rid of WOT since…2024
I have tried to get rid of WOT since last year. I reported the charge to my card as illegal and had the charge removed. Now I see you have charged my card again on 5/21/25 for $21.64 I have uninstalled the app, deleted the app and it still shows up. I want my money back and get rid of this horrible app once and for all!
Mywot is a decent website
Mywot is a decent website, where everybody can share some reviews about the company. Just like in trustpilot :D
But i feel like mywot more for big companies such as google, yahoo and others, whereas the trust pilot is more for companies that surround us like uber, zara etc.
Both are legit places to place the reviews, they do not delete or redact them, everything is transparent.

This company is an expert scam artist. They are expert at extracting monies out of you that are outside their original terms and conditions providing spurious reasons for their "additional costs". Be careful, have nothing to do with them as your project funding requests will never be realised, you having met all their up-front payment requirements and more!

The Web of Trust (WOT) service has faced criticism for potentially manipulative and fraudulent activities. It's reported that WOT might unfairly rate websites, giving low scores to reputable sites while possibly rating dubious ones highly. Such behavior could mislead users and unjustly harm the reputation of websites, prompting concerns that WOT might be distributing unreliable information and should be taken offline by authorities due to these deceptive practices.

Scam alert
Scam alert! Had WOT as a Chrome extension for years with no issues, although didn't use it much either. Suddenly a pink banner appeared in the top of my email inbox saying something like "Warning! Your computer is unprotected!" (it's not, I have anti-virus & VPN). I clicked on it because it was integrated into my email inbox, and an ad for a WOT premium subscription popped up with a form to pay with credit card. Needless to say, I immediately uninstalled WOT from my browser. I don't know if WOT has been hacked or if this is their new business practices, but I'm out for sure

Let's the WRONG ONES IN!!!
Allows phishing/scam sites to be at the very top of Google searches with the green shield, circle and check mark. I have completely lost my trust in this app. I have grown accustomed to the WOT symbols and rely on those when I search the web (used to). I clicked on a scam site and had begun to enter personal information unknowingly. I lecture people on doing this very thing regularly - even touted using WOT to help avoid these scams. Putting my trust in WOT led to my own downfall.
