I have had the worst experience with NARIC (now known as Ecctis) when trying to get my degree and baccalaureate equivalence. I submitted my documents twice, and both times, their evaluation was completely flawed, incompetent, and discriminatory.
🔹 Blatant Discrimination Against Non-European Qualifications
Despite having a Baccalaureate in Languages, they refused to recognize my English level as GCSE-equivalent simply because I come from outside Europe. Meanwhile, Europeans with barely any English skills get GCSE English recognition without question! How is this fair? This is clear discrimination against non-European applicants.
🔹 False & Inaccurate Equivalencies
The first time, they completely messed up my diploma evaluation. I studied languages, but they gave me a science equivalency! I had to pay AGAIN to correct their mistake. How can a so-called "recognized" institution make such basic errors?
🔹 Lack of Knowledge About International Diplomas
They demanded transcripts for my Conservatoire diploma, only to later say they couldn’t evaluate it! A National Conservatoire Diploma is recognized worldwide, but somehow, NARIC is clueless about it?
Then, they refused to recognize my Foundational Diploma, which is a nationally recognized exam in my country and has a curriculum equivalent to GCSEs in the UK. The truth is, they simply do not want to acknowledge that some countries have a far better education system. We are fluent in four languages effortlessly, yet they refuse to accept that our education holds more value than theirs.
🔹 A Government-Recognized Institution That Doesn’t Understand Diplomas
For an official organization, their lack of understanding of global education systems is shocking. Instead of properly assessing qualifications, they devalue non-European diplomas and deny rightful recognition.
💰 Save your money and don’t waste your time!
NARIC/Ecctis is nothing more than a money-making scam that fails to provide fair and accurate assessments. They need a serious overhaul to stop this discrimination and segregation. I will not stop speaking out until this unfair system is changed!

Shocking legal scam
Used their service to get UK equivalent Level 3 diploma as electrical technician (3 year degree diploma) so that I can get fast track study for UK certification.
NARIC equated to BTEC Firsts or RQF Lvl 2, etc.
So below 6th form
A 3-year technical degree with official diploma form state technical school from abroad.
A superior quality degreed education compared to UK standards.
NARIC is absolute joke, not fit for purpose. Save yourself stress and headache as people who are verifying this are less qualified than yourself and they do not have your degree.
How is that possible?
It is approved by UK government apparently.
NARIC has audacity to use Department of Education logo on their header, even they are not part of it??? Bonkers

Got reply from NARIC providing reasons why, what and complacency, length of time passed etc.
I stand by my review, according to NARIC math elsewhere is different than in UK, it appears electricity too. Do not bother wasting money as it will result in nothing. Get qualification you seek done in one of the UK qualified centers instead. Save yourself embarrassment and heartache

pathetic service, money minting business and harassment
I would have given zero but have to at least give 1 star. Recently we applied for NARIC certificate and it turns out to be an ugly experience. The highest degree certificate is enough but still a diploma degree document was asked for. Once providing them after 2 months we are again asked to submit a hard copy from the college to NARIC. It took them 2 months to realise they need an original hard copy. This is ridiculous. Money minting harassment of individuals. One pays money to get harassed by Naric. THe is clear they want us to apply for fast track. Gov need to look into this company and take strict action. Response time is really slow. Evaluation of degree certificates is unfair. Why would they take 2 months to ask for the same document again ?

UK Naric is one of the worst experience am having this year , they keep going up and front , Have provided all the documents they ask for , Now they are saying the signature was not bold enough! Will the signature be bigger than the stamp ? This is really so depressing, 2 weeks service is now moving to 2 months

Very poor service
Very poor service. I have sent my qualification as specified, but for some reason the service doesn't fully understand the language and can't understand I'm sending the document that they're asking for.
Over the course of 2 months they send back the exact same response (word for word) 4 times with no acknowledgement of the attempts at explaining what the documents are. Each attempt sees weeks pass. There is no other means of contacting the service.
Think very hard before giving money to this service.

This service is so poor and a waste of money…My school is Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. You people after collecting my herd earned money requested for a coloured photo when it’s so obvious the school gives black and white and there are details to verify.
I wonder if I go edit to color green and you will accept such and not accept the original one which is black and white

Absolute shambles of a company
Absolute shambles of a company, they take your money then come up with every excuse under the sun of why they can't provide you with their service.
The translation documents were rejected for a stupid reason.
After speaking with Sarah (customer support) and Stephanie (Sarah's manager) they kept making up excuses of why the translations weren't accepted, everytime I pointed out where on the document the thing was they claimed were missing, they came back with another excuse. In the end they told me that the documents weren't good enough because they didn't
have a header and footer with the translators details even though these documents were cerifir, signed, and stamped.
Secondly they're asking for much more information than orginally, their website states "a self certification isn't required if your qualification is part of a school award" a university is classed as a school but not in their eyes, now I have to attempt to go running around hoping my lecturers from 14 years ago are so they might have the time to fill out a self certification form.
Further more to say they're customer service sarah was moreso saying things like "I think" and "maybe" how can a customer service representative not be certain?!
To say these guys are meant to he helpful the most they could say at the end was "well you don't have to go ahead with this service"
It's utterly shameful this is the only company you can use for certification as the government have appointmented them.
This company is no more than a sham, they're clowns and scammers.

YOU ONLY GET MATH equivalent…
YOU ONLY GET MATH equivalent certificate and ENGLISH if it'syour first language!!!! no other subjects are specified and forget about estimate grades from GSCE or A levels... NOTHING. FIRST when applied I have had email saying someone checked my application and it's ready to be processed as everything they needed was uploaded. 2 weeks down the road I'm getting email that they want me to pay for translation- which I have asked for - but they have never charged me for it! From that day I paid they restarted WHOLE cycle that meant I waited 5 weeks... When I made payment for that application there was no charge on the invoice so it was their fault and they have admitted it, yet they couldn't fast forward my time or prioritise my application... so basically waste of my money and time because trurly no employer will look at my foreign certificates in foreign language... that leaves me with needing to translate them again... their website isn't mobile friendly hence uploading any documents is a pain .. typing in"tiny disappearing" boxes is too..not happy. Wasted time and money really... I could have had sworn translation of my certificates and just go to the employer with that and it would be sufficient..

If you could please state all the requirements at one go, it would be better. You make people wait for too long, you keep asking for documents one by one. Especially when it's about to be the date of completion. You have to ask for the additional documents all at once. Something which is supposed to be done in 10 days ends up taking 6weeks because you ask for documents when it's date of completion. Please try to save people's time.

At first my attempt the result is incomplete because my TOR for the 2nd and 3rd page is black & white scan. They are accommodating for the second time around they accept. AWFUL EXPERIENCE, DO NOT RECOMMEND
I would give it zero stars if I could. I applied for a statement of comparability for the GCSE’s as I am from outside the UK and need the GCSE’s to apply for jobs. I mentioned in a note that I want the equivalent for Maths and English. Apparently they can’t find it. I paid £200 for their fast track service as I nedeed the document asap for a company I was applying to. A few days later they provided me with an equivalent only for Maths and not for English as they said English is not comparable since it’s been studied as a foreign language. Needless to say that I was rejected from the job as they said they need to see an equivalent for English.
I asked for a refund since it’s obvious that they knew from the beginning they couldn’t provide the equivalent for English because I am not an UK national and I could not have studied English as a native language since I am not native.
They refused to give me a refund since they say they have already provided the statement and they cannot see my note. Okay if they did not receive the note they still should have provided a statement for the other subjects that are comparable to the GCSE’s as I am sure they know there were at least 6 other subjects that they could have compared.
I asked them to at least provide an equivalent for my other GCSE’s subjects as this was included in the service and it was stated on their website that they provide equivalent to multiple subjects. I WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED. They replied to my message saying the same thing they’ve been saying for a month since I started the complaint but did not say anything about the other subjects. I sent another message requesting the GCSE’s equivalent for my other subjects because I need them to apply for jobs and it is just insane to pay £200 for a half done service. Hopefully they will provide them this time.
How can they think it’s okay to provide a statement for only ONE subject( I sent a transcript with all my universal GCSE’s subjects) and not give me a refund or at least provide another statement with all the other subjects that are comparable.

I have aploaaded my documents on 6 August and I am still waiting for the certificates to be finalized.
I don't have anything yet and they keep delaying me asking for more information.They completely confused my certificates with dates other ways around. I spoke to manager to get it sooner. I keep getting messages that is delayed again and it was delayed four times. The service is poor , no translation made, nothing returned
I said I need as soon as possible.
Send them all transcripts and they missed some and .put reversed the dates.
I have never see such company who gets money and return anything back

I uploaded my documents today under visas and nationality but failed to make my online payment because whenever I hit the visa/master card button I am redirected to the Worldpay website and recieve an error message 'access denied'. I am very disappointed because there is no other method of payment. The chat bot does not address payment problems , I also sent an email and I was told that I have to wait for 5 days to get a reply.....I also found out that Worldpay will nolonger provide online payment services from 14 October 2022 and I suppose you have a backend problem with your servers.
Ecctis kindly provide an alternative for payments ASAP. We want a reliable service.

It’s on going since 12 august and I provided all the documents. They asked for further documents I did that. What they do is change my applicaiton date to the date when they start looking. After providing all the documents I am still waiting . Hope I will get the right attention
