Beware - tourists being scammed on this bus service
This bus company does not advertise their fares on their website; so I asked the driver of one of their buses the price of a return fare from Swansea to Rhossili bay, he told me that it was £5.10 return, £4.90 single. When I travelled to Rhossili bay a few days ago I purchased a return ticket for £5.10. However when I made the return journey I found that every single passenger including me was being told the same thing by the driver... "your ticket isn't valid, a return ticket costs £7.50." He made everyone buy a new single ticket and said that we would have to take it up with the bus company. As there was no other way to get back to Swansea we had no choice but to pay out. He also insisted on being paid cash, saying the card reader was not working. As the bus was full this amounted to about £200 in cash. Later on in the journey (when he was picking up locals in the Swansea area) the card reader could be seen to be working perfectly. Absolutely appalled by this open thuggery, scamming and abuse of tourists, a lot of whom were young Japanese students.
