Unapologetic SPAM proliferators
In my opinion, any business that sends unsolicited SPAM to individuals that have never expressed an interest in their products cannot be trusted. No-one likes SPAM.
I received an email on my personal email address on the 9th November from National Timber. Yet, I can confirm that I have never been in contact with them, always opt out of receiving marketing or other such materials and always utilise a gmail address when I am contacting any commercial business to keep my personal email private.
Somehow, this bunch managed to get my email address, which likely only came from a data breach of smoking and it was used to send me SPAM. I responded on the 10th November via their contact email address and gave them 7 days to remove my email address and asked for confirmation. I did not receive confirmation of my email nor an assurance that my email address had been removed.
Then I received another SPAM email on the 8th December. Clearly National Timber do not take their obligations relating to unsolicited emails seriously, otherwise I wouldn't be receiving a send email. If they are so blasé with email marketing, I don't think I would trust them with my money, but people must make their own choices.
In the meantime, if I receive another unsolicited email from National Timber my next contact with be via the Information Commissioners Office.
Update: To address the misdirection, this is the correct company. I have responded to the reply below providing a copy of my original email asking for my email address to be removed. Perhaps, not surprisingly, I have had no response to my email nor an acknowledgement.
Two more SPAM emails received on the 25th and 28th January 2022. Two £25 invoices will be sent out shortly. Clearly the MD's words count for nothing. Of course, I haven't received a response to me email I sent him either. If this is an example of their service then I would recommend giving them a wide berth.
