Appalling service
I agreed an engineer, he stopped corresponding and did not do the job. Need help still have all my money which I have requested a refund but even need help have ignored my messages for a refund. Can you please respond to this message

The job to fit the bathroom shower taps never happened due to confusion over the price initially quoted. I feel upset and disappointed as I'm a pensioner so every penny counts. To jump from £99 to nearly £200 was a shock.

Good choice if you feel vulnerable
Elderly, alone in bedsit, wanted reassurance that tradesperson had been vetted although only simple flatpack assembly. Didn't accept 1st response (above my max budget), guy I chose was excellent, could not have asked for better. Website is easy to use.

Posted a job. Contacted the tradesman paid a deposit to secure the job. Tradesman asked for higher than normal rate. I was not happy with the estimate I then decided to cancel the job. I asked for refund of the £83 deposit. Company NeedHelp refused to refund me as I cancelled the job and explained that all that deposit is to cover their fees. £83 is far too high for a fee. They should publish a breakdown of their charges on the web. I am afraid this company behaves like scammers. I will take them to court. There are few issues to be clarified

Experience was great. Trades person arranged to come out within a matter of days, arranged a time and carried out the work efficiently, quickly and professionally. The trades person was friendly, courteous, helpful and gave good guidence/advice. Overall extremely satisfied.

Vetting process questionable.
Posted a job - contacted at 01.30am by a trade person - saying he would do the job posted - messaged him during working hours and he replied asking me to contact only via Instagram. Messaged via NeedHelp asking how he was going to quote without looking at job (full kitchen fitting) and again asked me to message him via Instagram. Out of interest, checked his Instagram page which linked to his 'website' - a company based in Amsterdam. Lots of red flags so decided the 'vetted tradespeople' probably weren't vetted enough so not using this platform to find tradespeople.

I have done a number of jobs for NeedHelp. Every time claiming my payment has been difficult. This time my money will not be released due to an “error” I have completed the work but can’t get paid! Not very happy.
