NeighborWho somehow got into my Venmo…

NeighborWho somehow got into my Venmo account and set up auto payments $49. Per month. I had never heard of them. I contacted my bank and Venmo to report it. Eventually, I did get a refund. I had to close my Venmo account. Beware of this scam company!

I went to their website via a search engine. Looked briefly never intending to pay for anything!
Then a charge shows up on my cc bill. I called and they are supposed to refund it.
I have no idea how they got my cc number!!!!

This is a scam

This is a scam. The google listing says FREE then you have to start a trial. I wonder of the State of Pennsylvania (or all the others for that matter) know what they're doing.

Waste of time

Don't give you anything unless you pay for it, string you along for 5 minutes before they tell you that it's behind a paywall

Ignores request for refund after subscription cancellation.

Update: 10-10-2023: Neighborwho.com finally did reply and refunded my money as promised but this was the initial issue. **Neighborwho.com charged my account $44.86 on 7-3-2023 after I cancelled my 7 day free trial subscription on 6-25-2023 the same day I had the report done. I paid the $1.00 for the report and made sure that my subscription was cancelled via their website so I would not be charged the subsequent subscription fee as I only needed that one report. I even received confirmation from the site the account was cancelled and no other subsequent fees would be charged. I also did not receive any further notification that the trail period was coming to an end and my Paypal account was going to be charged. I requested a refund of $44.86 for this erroneous charge but they have failed to contact me shortly as promised on their website. I contacted them via their contact email on their website and I also personally emailed them about this. This is a bait and switch site and I personally feel scammed at this point. If my refund is not received I will report this incident to various customer service review sites such as BetterBusinessBureau, scamadviser.com, trustpilot.com and or sitejabber.com. Also if the refund is not received I shall also report this incident to the Federal Trade Commission and to my Iowa State Attorney General. I do not recommend their service to any one.
