Horrible
Fence was built.
Most notably, the attitude that was conveyed by those in charge and builders were horrendous. Not once did we refuse to pay but we did face troubles with bank transfers, as does happen with large payments like what these services offer. However, there was no patience or understanding with this, just demands for payment as well as strong use of intimidation tactics like threatening to "rip the fence out of the ground the next day if he did not receive the payment tonight" and showing up to our house once again to make demands for payment. Certainly the person we spoke with took advantage of the fact that my mother was not a native English person to be condescending and patronising. I know for a fact that had it been another English family, we would not have faced such abhorrent attitudes and language when faced with professional services. Absolutely do not engage with this company unless you want to be berated for not being able to successfully complete a bank transfer as "it's not rocket science". Completely unnecessary in the tone and language used when trying to resolve issues and absolutely no room for compromise, just straight demands and threats.
I would also like to mention that on the day of the job, there was some confusion around the stated quote given to me and what the builders wanted to do. The builders only removed a section of our old fence rather than the whole thing stating the quote did not include the other parts. However, the initial quote given did in fact include the entire length of fence we wanted re doing. Otherwise, we would not have went with this service to only just get a section of our fence redone- it seems unreasonable to just redo only part of our fence and not the whole thing. Following this, they "remeasured" the area stating that it was true to their quote. However, we measured the fence ourselves alongside one of their colleagues and found out that they lied and were actually short 11 meters to the true length. This lack of integrity when working already set me off on the wrong foot and combined with the threats the next day, I am certain that I will conduct finer research in the future as to never encounter such horrible services again.
