Merchant malpractice.

We cancelled our unlimited $40 monthly card the day before it was to renew. They charged my credit card anyway the next day, and we disputed the charge. The company told the credit company that we agreed to the monthly plan, therefore the charges were authorized. We had to cancel our card to stop the monthly charges. This was AFTER a merchant rep stated our card WOULD NOT BE CHARGED SINCE WE CALLED BEFORE THE RENEWAL DATE.

I wasn't aware Net10 was out of business??

I recently broke my net 10 phone and went online to buy another. The website doesn't work. I then called their customer service line. Not one person could help me, so I was passed to five different people! Seems they were all in the same room as the voices talking were all recognizable in the background and there were dishes and glasses clattering and glasses and ice and liquids being poured near the phone "on hold!" It seems Net10 is going out of business and being replaced by Simple mobile. Simple mobile policies allow them to raise your monthly rate after you choose your plan. Lesson learned,read ALL the fine print, it matters! Call or visit your provider often to make sure they still exist!

Lying Customer Service

Been using NET10 for over five-5 years. They were recently purchased by Verizon. It works, no contracts are nice. Dealing with Customer Service in the past was not ideal, but workable. Their Website always has problems - it's always been bad. BUT, last week I inquired about using an eSIM service for my daughters phone number. The agent said no problem, we just need to switch the SIM card we have now on the T-Mobile Network over to Verizon. Once that is done, then the eSIM can be set up. Sounded good to me, and the agent confirmed I would get the promotional free month of service from switching to Verizon. Well, this week both my daughter and I found out NET10 does not support eSIM nor do we get the promotional offer of a free month service. Yesterday I asked to speak to a Supervisor, they said sure, they will call you, is 15 mins ok? Is said yes. It's been about 18 hours so far, no word from NET10. I guess they are busy lying to their loyal Customers. So I'm very disappointed with them now. They take no responsibility for what their agents say. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

No phone and no refund

I have been a net10 customer for 15 years,2 lines with monthly plans. I bought a phone from their website on July 1, 2023. I got NO confirmation email. When I contacted them about when the phone would arrive, was told they could do nothing without an order number...which I didn't have because they never sent the email. Long story short, they took my money, lost my order, wont issue me a refund or send my the phone and plan that I paid for. They said SORRY, and to file a dispute with my bank. BUYER BEWARE.

they lied about giving me a free…

they lied about giving me a free phone..i called them to tell them i got a message on how to use the new phone that i haven't gotten..they said there not sending me a free phone that i have to buy it...that was the reason i went with that company in the first place for the free phone..if they dont give free phones than why did they send me a txt on how to use the new phone

Their unlimited data plan is a scam

Similar problems as the other reviewers: Data service was suddenly disconnected in an attempt to lure me into spending more money.

Paid for the unlimited plan and data was shut off before the end of the 30 day period. Texted 611611 and got this message:

"You have reached your plan's high speed data limit. Would you like to buy more data?"

I considered this fraud and had my credit card company issue a chargeback to Net10.

Horrific Customer Service

I purchased a phone and plan from them. Was promised 2-day shipping. I did not receive it after a week and a couple days and Fedex did not update the tracking number.

I called net10 back and the agent told me he would update the ticket and I should receive the phone in the next 72 hours business days.

I did not receive it after more than a week and called them back. Spoke to someone who had to escalate to someone else, told me to call Fedex and find out if the item was lost, and if so that Net10 would provide me with a refund. Probably a 25 minute phone call with lots of holds and the agent coming back after every 2 minutes to say, "Please stay on the line."

Called Fedex, they told me net10 should file a claim for the item.

Called back net10 and they told me that the previous 2 ppl I spoke to at net10 did not enter any information into the ticket. They had to start over. Checking on various things. Coming back on the line every 1-2 minutes to tell me to stay on the line. After ONE HOUR of speaking to various ppl and being escalated to various ppl, am told that they can do nothing to help me and I should be contacted in another 1-2 days. They could not process the refund that the previous person was told me they would process. The 3rd person I spoke to on that day also said that she was transferring me to someone to process the refund, but then the next 2 ppl said they couldn't do it.

I will never go with this company under any circumstance. Worst customer service. It took me HOURS of various phone calls with ppl to find out nothing. Will see how long it takes and if I get a refund for the hundreds of dollars I spent on a new phone. Good thing I did not go with the monthly payment plan through their third-party provider smartpay which has terrible reviews.
