Do not recommend for small business

We engaged News Xtend to provide digital marketing services for our Indian restaurant and, unfortunately, the experience did not live up to what was promised.

We invested around $1,600 for a month and were given very specific projections around clicks, conversions and expected orders. In reality, the results fell well short of those projections. Looking back at the campaign, the ads themselves were fairly generic and didn't effectively highlight the unique selling points of our business. Much of what was done, such as running Facebook and Instagram ads, was something we could have managed ourselves.

Throughout the campaign, we felt the strategy remained largely the same despite the challenging trading environment. Looking back, it didn't seem to account for changing customer spending habits or the tougher conditions many restaurants were facing.

After moving to a smaller boutique agency that specialises in restaurants, the difference was immediately noticeable. They explained how the market had changed, how customer behaviour had shifted, and why our marketing needed to adapt. They developed a strategy that highlighted our unique selling points and was tailored to the current economic climate. The results have been significantly better, despite costing a fraction of what we paid previously.

Based on our experience, News Xtend may be better suited to larger businesses with substantial marketing budgets. However, if you're a small restaurant or takeaway, I'd strongly recommend finding an agency that specialises in hospitality. A tailored strategy and genuine understanding of the industry made a far greater difference for us than a generic campaign ever did.

Hi Parveez,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While it has been several years since we worked together in 2023, we appreciate you sharing your perspective and genuinely value your feedback.

We are always glad to hear when a local business finds a long-term partner and marketing approach that drives success. Hospitality is a fast-moving, highly specialised industry, and finding the right fit for your specific business model is critical.

As a mid-sized agency, our core focus is designing scalable, medium-to-large-scale digital strategies for established SMBs. We acknowledge that small boutique agencies specialised in hospitality would be a better fit for your restaurant.

We take your feedback on our communication and ad messaging to heart, as driving strong value and transparent expectations is important to us across every project size. We wish your restaurant continued growth and ongoing success.

All the best

Questionable Business Practices

- Questionable Business Practices: Despite presenting itself as a performance marketing agency, there were instances where the approach to customer engagement felt disingenuous, bordering on deceptive, delivering small businesses no real value

- Legacy Operations: Outdated way of operating, way behind the times in the digital marketing advertising industry, lots of manual tasks and systems that should be automated, resistant to change and innovation, made work more complicated than it needed to be

-Lack of Knowledge: Surprising lack of understanding regarding the digital marketing industry. This was not just at the junior level but extended to senior management as well. It often felt like we were navigating without a map, stumbling through day to day tasks with inefficiencies and frustrations

-Below-Average Compensation: Disappointing, significantly below the industry average, which did not align with the high demands of the job. Ask for the bonus structure to be outlined in the interview stage - they will not be able to provide it or explain it

- Toxic Work Culture: Poor work environment, poor facilities at the office, often stressful, with excessive workloads and unrealistic expectations - expect 12 hour working days to be the norm

Hi Mark, this is the same fake profile from Meta. I have reported this review to Trustpilot as you are a competitor that is providing misleading information to all our social channels.

They promise the earth and deliver debt.

I came from another large Marketing company who almost left my business in ruins. I went to News Xtend who promised the world. I repeatedly told them I wasn’t able to afford what I was previously paying as sales were dropping. They convinced me to sign on at MORE than what I was previouspy paying. Over time I saw the return they promised was not coming in, so I would tell them explicitly I could not afford their services, they would convince me they had other strategies to try. After 6 months off losses, I finally let go of News Xtend with a substantial debt that I still have to pay off. I am now having to borrow money in order to recoup my losses.

Be careful when signing on, they promise the earth and deliver debt.

My last 6 years of blood sweat and tears building my brand has now almost been brought to nothing.
