NYC - Good Buy

Purchased on-line. Customers need to exchange voucher at a Visitor Center which is somewhat of an inconvenience. Did not receive Via voucher/code for rideshares and had to contact customer service. 2nd Visitor Center had to call someone in order for me to get the code; thus, causing touring delay and the ability to use this offer--ended up not using due to time constraints. Employees need more training. Vendors selling the pass on the streets could not offer correct info on where to go to catch hop on/off buss. Paper vouchers for attractions aren't convenient to use. Customer service agent stated GoLink Airport shuttle was complimentary, but GoLink requested a voucher. Inconsistent information provided from customer service, affiliates and Visitor Center agents.

Even with the above issues, hop on/off bus and tours provided was good. Price for 7 attractions and all was good. Didn't wait too long for hop on/off buses.

coupons printed on paper, so we accumulated lots stapled on the map (brouchure). Could not be better (if ID photo is required) to print on an individual card with photo on it?
Drivers did not care what coupons they were removing so unexpectedly we lost ( as we handed all to them to remove the coupons allocated for each tour), the visit to top of the rock x 2 people and we were not allowed to go inside
Nitgh tour on 27th Oct a total disaster, guide could not speak an English word at all. I doubt we did the whole tour as it was pouring and took exactly 2 hours as scheduled and under this weather conditions+ traffic jams is not logical to have made it in such a exact time
Buses upper decker partially covered

Better you choose another company

We were not satisfied with this company, not enough buses, everytime we had to wait 30-60 minutes, nobody could tell you when a bus arives, the stuff were just interested in selling tickets or getting tips not giving information. The buses were in bad condition, messy and really old. I saw the buses from another company - new, each bus was the same, not like here one bad another worse.

Woodbury Common

Yes, we had a very good experience with bus going to Woodbury Common. Busses were very comfortable. Bus was on time either way.
Keep up the good work.

Room for Improvement

I am a person with disability. I am appreciative of the fact that there is a designated spot for wheelchair. However, with the so many stuff like boxes placed right in front of me, I could hardly see anything. While other guides were more accommodating to rearrange the stuff to provide me some view ahead of me, others were not. I feel like I was in a storage room rather than in sightseeing bus.

NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE !!!!!

we have used Gray Line in NYC twice before. 4 years ago and 6 years ago. Same tours as purchased this time. Things have really run down. And I guess good help is very hard to find. The employees, men I guess you would say have very foul mouths. Speaking to each other they used the F word many many times, in front of customers standing in line waiting to board. The speakers were shot on 3 of the buses we boarded. One kept kicking off, other people were upset just trying to find a couple of seats that speakers worked. A couple of the buses the static was so bad just made for a miserable time. We did purchase the pick 7 to go along with our tour. We enjoyed the empire state building, the statue of liberty, ellis island, top of the rock. We did the night tour and it was raining. windows were closed but the bus leaked so terribly bad that we actually had puddles in our seats inside. The water was just pouring in. It was crazy. But we made dues. Have used Gray Line many times but I do think next time I will try another company.

Best way for the tourist of NYC

I purchased the freestyle pass with 5 attraction for a 4 day 3 night visit to NYC which included the hop on hop off ferry and 72hr all around bus. For someone who wanted to see it all in a short amount of time this was the best, fastest and cheapest option. Getting the vouchers was a simple wait at the ticket site. We had no issues using them at any of our locations which incuded: freedom tower (front of line access), rockafellar, empire, statue of liberty (grounds access only), the bus and the ferry. We didn't get to use the last attraction as we ran out of time/were exhausted from the busy days. The bus tours were a great way to see everything and learn from a new york resident. We also used it as a way of transportation which at times can be slow due to crazy New York traffic but they got us to/from our attraction destinations so we didn't mind. The ferry was a great way to see the island from the waters while using it as a means of transportation from one side of the island to the other. We never had to wait long for buses and there was always agents there to guide us. Although it was a bit of a hassle to carry around a stack of vouchers, they were all printed on one sheet and stapled together so all they had to do was rip it off as we went from attraction to attraction so not that big of a deal. We saved a lot of money and time trying to navigate the city. I found a promo code and paid about $140 CAD for this pass which would have easily cost us over $200 USD ($300 CAD) had we paid for everything separate. I would highly recommend this pass and will definately buy again. The best way to find out if this is useful for you is to write down what you want to do and add up the cost and compare. If you don't plan on being a "tourist" then it wouldn't be a good match. Next time I wouldn't do the bus as the subway is faster but for first timers it's a perfect way to see everything without having to worry about getting yourself around and finding everything. once you do learn the city though its pretty easy to navigate. Everything is a lot closer then you would imagine and with the streets being named in ascending numbers it's hard to get lost.

Sightseeing tour and dinner

The sightseeing tour was great, however the dinner portion was a bummer. One of the places that we wanted to go to was closed and the other one we tried said that the voucher was not valid

Hello Kent,

We are sorry to hear the restaurant of your choice was not available. The choices listed for each tour are normally the same for some time, however, we have had some changes most recently. The easiest way to "keep up" with the restaurant choices is to view the tour on our website. Thank you for advising us of your experience, we will be sure to work on easier updates.
regards, Julia

The best way to see NYC.

Don't forget your hats, gloves, scarfs and coats as it does get very cold upstairs but sooo worth it. The very best way to see The Big Apple!!!!
Much cheaper to hop on and off than get taxi's and you get the running commentary at the same time giving fascinating insights into the city.
Definitely consider the 2 day ticket, it's well worth it.
