Overview Bedec Interior-Flex Paint is a high-performance elastomeric, microporous emulsion paint specially formulated for interior ceilings and walls that are prone to cracking. Unlike conventional matt emulsions, Interior-Flex is designed to bridge hairline cracks and flex with the substrate, ensuring a smooth and durable finish even where movement occurs. With its smooth low-sheen finish and Class 1 Wet Scrub Rating, it offers both style and strength for long-lasting results. Tinted Colour Information Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Bedec tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order. Remove as much product as possible prior to cleaning. Preparation Before applying Bedec Interior-Flex, ensure all surfaces are properly prepared to achieve the best finish and durability. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and wax. Remove all loose or defective paint. Treat and remove any algal or fungal growth with a suitable fungicidal wash. On untreated render, plaster, brickwork, or other porous substrates, thin the first coat with 30–40% fresh clean water. Where there is a risk of staining (extractive discolouration), treat the surface with Bedec Stain Block. Always test a small area first to check for staining. Repair large cracks - Cut out and fill with a flexible interior filler such as Geocel Painters Mate Flexible Acrylic Filler or Toupret Fill-Flex Filler. Repair hairline cracks - Apply Interior-Flex directly into the cracks and feather out to achieve a smooth edge. One or two additional coats may be required to fully bridge the cracks. Once cracks have been treated, apply one or two full coats of Interior-Flex to the entire area for a consistent and long-lasting finish. Application Ensure to prepare the surface and test a small area to confirm compatibility. Apply using a brush, roller, conventional HVLP, or airless spray. Stir thoroughly and check the colour before use. Do not apply when air or surface temperatures are below 10°C. On sealed surfaces, apply 1-2 coats, ensuring each coat is allowed to dry fully before applying the next. Do not overspread the paint. Spray Application: Coverage will be reduced depending on the spray system. Airless spray systems typically achieve approx. 4-6 m² per litre per coat. Recommended setup: 13-15 thou tip @ 50-70° angle, with a pump pressure of 2500 PSI. Delivers a WFT of approx. 205 microns per coat, corresponding to a DFT of approx. 78 microns per coat. Aftercare & Storage After use, clean the rim and replace the lid securely. Protect the product from low temperatures (minimum 5°C). To prevent spills, always store and transport in a secure, upright position. Do not store by hanging on a hook.
