Base Solvent Based Coverage Up to 18m2 per litre Drying Time Touch Dry in 6 Hours Re-Coat Time 16-24 Hours Recommended Coats 1-2 Coats Application Method Brush, Roller Clean Up Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with white spirit Preparation New Surfaces Timber & MDF : Ensure surfaces are dry and clean. Fill defects with Sandtex Trade Ready Mixed Filler or a two-pack wood filler. Sand and round sharp edges (1-3mm). Remove dust and treat knots with two coats of fresh knotting. Ensure moisture content is below 18% before priming with Crown Trade Wood Primer (or Aluminium Wood Primer for high-tannin hardwoods). Apply one coat of Crown Trade Next Generation Plus Undercoat. Metals (including galvanised) : Clean thoroughly, removing millscale, corrosion, oil, and grease. Rinse with clean water and dry. Lightly abrade non-ferrous metals (except galvanised). Pre-treat bright galvanised surfaces with Crown Trade Protective Coatings T-Wash. Prime with Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer and apply one coat of Next Generation Plus Undercoat. Previously Painted or Weathered Surfaces Timber & MDF : Remove loose paint, sand rough areas, and round edges (1-3mm). Treat knots, repair defects with Sandtex Trade Ready Mixed Filler, and sand smooth. Clean, remove dust, and ensure moisture content is below 18%. Spot prime bare areas with Crown Trade Wood Primer (or Aluminium Wood Primer for hardwoods). Apply one coat of Next Generation Plus Undercoat. Metals (including galvanised) : Remove loose paint, corrosion, and residues. Clean thoroughly with hot water and detergent, then rinse. Wet abrade glossy surfaces. Spot prime bare metal with Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer. Apply one coat of Next Generation Plus Undercoat. Application Stir well before use. Apply by brush or roller to an even thickness (a fine, soft long filament bristle brush gives best results). Maintain a wet edge. On timber lay off in the direction of the grain. Always intermix packs for colour consistency. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application. Aftercare & Storage Store and transport upright with the lid firmly closed. Avoid extremes of temperature and frost.
