Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with white spirit
Preparation New Surfaces:
Timber & MDF: Ensure dry surfaces, free from contaminants. Fill holes, treat knots, and sand smooth. Prime with Crown Trade Wood Primer. Moisture should not exceed 18%. For hardwoods, use Crown Trade Aluminium Wood Primer.
Metals (Including Galvanised): Clean and abrade surfaces. Treat galvanised with Crown Trade T-Wash. Prime with Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer.
Weathered Uncoated Surfaces:
Timber: Remove grey areas, treat organic growth, fill holes, and sand. Prime with Crown Trade Wood Primer or Aluminium Wood Primer for hardwoods.
Metals: Clean, remove corrosion, abrade, and prime within the working day with Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer.
Previously Decorated Surfaces:
Timber & MDF: Remove loose paint, feather edges, treat growth, and prime bare areas with Crown Trade Wood Primer. Ensure moisture is below 18%.
Metals: Remove loose paint, clean, abrade, and prime with Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer. Application Stir well before use. Apply by brush or roller to an even thickness (a fine, soft long filament bristle brush gives best results). Maintain a wet edge. On timber lay off in the direction of the grain. Aftercare & Storage Store and transport upright with the lid firmly closed. Avoid extremes of temperature and frost.
