Overview Polyvine Metal Leaf Acrylic Adhesive is ideal for bonding metal leaf and foils to a variety of surfaces including furniture, plaster mouldings, picture fames and decorative features. It has a water-based formulation which offers an extended open time for easy application. Porous surfaces will need to be sealed with a Polyvine Varnish. Application Always try the technique on a test piece before embarking on the project to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Mix well before use. Apply using a good quality brush to the surface. Ensure no brush marks are visible as these will show through the metal leaf/ foil, it can be diluted with water to avoid brush marks. Leave for at least 15 minutes then apply the leaf, the size will remain workable for 24 hours. Ensure to cover all the acrylic size with the leaf.
