Overview Rustins High Heat Matt Paint is a water-based, quick-drying, heat-resistant coating designed for use on both metal and wood, suitable for interior and exterior applications. Offering excellent covering power and easy application, it provides a durable, attractive finish while withstanding temperatures up to 220°C.
This versatile paint is ideal for radiators, pipework, fire surrounds, and other surfaces exposed to moderate heat. It is not suitable for wood-burning stoves or areas reaching extreme temperatures.

Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water
Preparation Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from wax, grease, dust, and other contaminants.
Strip away any loose or flaking paint using Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.
Remove rust with Rustins Rust Remover.
Once cleaned, prime the surface with Rustins Red Oxide Primer to ensure proper adhesion and long-term protection.
If applying to bare wood, first coat the surface with Rustins Quick Dry Primer and Undercoat.
Proper preparation ensures the paint adheres effectively and delivers a strong, durable, heat-resistant finish. Application Always test a small area of the surface to be painted to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
Stir well before use to ensure an even consistency.
Apply liberally and evenly using a synthetic fibre brush or a roller.
Apply 1 or 2 coats, depending on the coverage and finish required.
Touch dry: within 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.
Allow a minimum of 2 hours before applying additional coats.
Ideal temperature: 15-25°C.
Do not apply below 10°C or in high humidity.
Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent solution.
Can be applied over solvent-based and acrylic paints.

To keep the painted surface looking its best, simply clean with a mild detergent solution. Avoid harsh abrasives or strong solvents, which may damage the finish.
Shelf Life & Storage
When stored in its original, tightly sealed container, the product will last many years.
Store in normal, dry conditions.
Do not store below 5°C and protect from frost, as freezing may damage the product.
