It’s compatible with both water-based and solvent-based finishing paints, making it a reliable choice for any decorating job. Available in White and Grey, and easy to clean up with water, it’s a fast-drying essential for a professional-looking finish. Base Water-Based Coverage Up to 13m2 per litre Drying Time Touch dry within 30 minutes Re-Coat Time 2 Hours Recommended Coats 2 Coats Application Method Brush, Roller Clean Up Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning with water Preparation Ensure all surfaces to be coated are clean, dry, and free from wax, grease, dust, and other contaminants. Seal all knots with Rustin’s Knotting before priming. Fill holes and cracks with Rustin’s Wood Filler after priming, then sand smooth. Previously painted surfaces clean thoroughly and lightly sand to provide a key for the undercoat before application. Remove all sanding dust prior to applying the primer or undercoat. Proper surface preparation ensures excellent adhesion and a smooth, durable finish. Application Apply liberally and evenly using a synthetic fibre brush or roller. If necessary, the primer coat may be thinned by mixing 5 parts primer to 1 part water. Do not thin when using as an undercoat. Apply a minimum of 2 coats for optimal coverage and durability. Touch dry within approximately 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity. Allow a minimum of 2 hours between coats, ensuring the previous layer is fully dry. Apply in smooth, even strokes for the best finish, and maintain consistent coverage across the entire surface.
