Overview A highly penetrative stabiliser for use on most exterior masonry surfaces and exterior grade building boards. This colourless solution is easy to apply and requires only one coat to prepare the masonry surface for painting. Sandtex Quick Dry Water Based Stabilising Solution will prime and bind loose, powdery, and porous surfaces to create a suitable foundation for the application of masonry paint. Suitable for application to most exterior masonry walls and surfaces including rendering, roughcast, pebbledash, brickwork, and exterior grade building boards. Now available in a 5L tin. Any faults in the surface must be repaired as these may lead to moisture penetration. Repair minor defects with Sandtex Ready Mixed Filler to leave a smooth surface. Remove all loose and flaking material by scraping or brushing with a stiff brush. All signs of organic growth must be removed by brushing with a stiff bristled brush. Kill spores with Sandtex fungicidal wash or a suitable fungicidal wash. Clean away any loose material after application and ensure the surface is dry. Application We always recommend testing the product on the surface to ensure compatibility. Do not apply if there is a risk of rain or if the air/surface temperature is likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during the application or drying period.
