NiceHash denied me access to my account and stole my funds.

I have not used my NiceHash account in a while and decided to try withdrawing my funds after receiving emails about inactivity fees. I have attempted to use their password change link, but it gives an error saying that my account is not found... even though it sends me a password change link. I have attempted contacting their support through email several times to try to regain access to my account. Instead of helping me, they sent me an email saying that they are permanently denying my request to access my account. They have basically stolen all of the funds that I had in my account.

STAY AWAY they have turned into…

STAY AWAY they have turned into scammers!!!! they sent emails that they will charge roughly 8$ a month if you don't use any of the services they have (rent hash power /mine/trade etc) what's even crazier they won't let you close your old account if you have residual money left in unless you top up the account to hit the minimum threshold just so you can withdraw. and if you write to support a ticket they charge you 10$ if you want a response. what a scummy behavior. it looks like a pull-out scheme to me.

Hi, You can use the lightning network to withdraw smaller amounts, without having to make a top up. You can transfer BTC over lightning for any amount and almost no fees. It's also instant.

Got a email saying they were going to…

Got a email saying they were going to start charing me for inactive account. I had 430$ in BTC, and they won't let me have it even after providing my SS#, mortgage payment, Driver's License, and a live video confirming my identity. It's gone down 15$ in the mean time - not sure if from the market or nicehash's illegal service fees (banks have been sued repeatedly for this behavior and we could definitely open a class action)

Illegal?

I'm furious, I haven't used the site in 3 years and I've received an email from the company domain email saying they are going to charge me money for having an inactive account, and when trying to delete my account I can't.

I haven't used nicehash since I was looking at my mining and saw hashes not paid for but my computer did it. Then they send an email if you don't use your account we will steal your money and charge you. I immediately closed the account because I knew how dishonest they was and didn't wanna donate further to these crooks

Please, proceed with caution. They are probably in deep problems now after crypto recession and having their funds stolen before. Please refer to reddit recent posts about users receiving emails with new TOS.

SCAMMERS just changed their ToS to charge "inactive users".

They've just changed their ToS to be able to skim accounts that haven't had a transaction in 6 months - 0.0001 BTC per month your account is "inactive". They have minimum withdrawal amounts that basically mean you can't get some of it out if you've dipped too low and they'll just slowly erode that over the next few years. You can't delete your account if your balance is above 0 and you can't withdraw so your only option is to add more funds, then withdraw (incurring fees) just so you can close the account, or continue to be charged 0.0001 BTC every month your account is inactive. SCAM!

Ridiculous fee changes

I'm not satisfied with the recent fee changes, that are clearly meant to "cash grab" money from accounts that are not very active (e.g. people who only mine during winter and cannot meet the withdrawal limit).

The other issue is that the email about it is written in such a way, that it seems like a phishing, urging users to click on a link from the email - "Please check [here] to see how much it will cost you."

As my account is inactive they asked me…

As my account is inactive they asked me to close the account or I would be charged a monthly fee. Went through the process of closing the account and at the end of all that they say "The action is temporarily blocked". Now I'm assuming that this is because there is less than the threshold amount in my account. Do they think I am stupid enough to top up my account to whatever the threshold amount is to simply be told "The action is temporarily blocked" again? Sorry but there are way better scammers than you out there.

Greedy MF's

Greedy MF's, NiceHash now charges for "inactive" accounts. Instead of just closing them they find away to steal the underpriced crypto you mined.

Scammers

Scammers. Couldn't withdraw money as not quite at limit and wants me to pay bad transfer to top up...then told me inactive accounts now incur $5 a month fees with no contract terms or conditions. I'll be joining any class action suits that come up out of this. These guys are morons.

Fees over fees over fees for doing nothing

Fees for everything.

Stay away!!!

They are completely customer unfriendly. They charge you a fee for everything. Litterly everything. Changing your email adress? 10 dollars please. Changing your wallet? 10 dollars please.

And starting from october 2024: a inactivity fee for 0.0001 BTC/ month. Even if you login in that time you need to pay this. Only if you make a transaction or give a marketplace order you will be considered as active. What the f? The greed of this company is heavier than a black hole.
Please stay away as their service is pretty bad compared to all the fees you need to pay. I closed my account today so they can charge themselves.

Stealing crypto from inactive users

They rolled out a new policy where they will begin charging users who are inactive. They will automatically take your crypto with this new policy and the only way they have let us know is through 1 email. It's also extremely tedious/borderline impossible to even delete your account. I suggest if a lawyer is reading this to look into a class action lawsuit. This is an easy win in court. Even besides the new policy it's a terrible company, support is terrible, fees are high, mining efficiency is low, too difficult to delete account, and the app is buggy.
