Extremely skilled, trustworthy caring and reliable

reliable, trustworthy, prompt communication. I had several extremely well qualified nannies to choose from and the one that came was truly excellent.

From the moment she walked in she filled me with confidence, she basically took over, recognized things about my baby I didnt even know (she wanted a comfort blanket and burping apparently, which proved true and I had no idea), managed to get her to sleep well, took her on outings and was so sweet with her. By the second day my baby was smiling as soon as she saw her, it was amazing.

Wonderful agency providing the best service

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Night Nannies! They were able to find us a wonderful nannie who was with us when my partner and the kids had to unexpectedly come to the states while I was caring for my father before he passed away. She was so compassionate and understanding of our situation. It was a very emotional time and she was a wonderful support for my family. She was so flexible with our needs and really went above and beyond.

Night Nannies found us someone who was wonderful making us feel at ease and we completely trusted her with the children. They absolutely adored her. We are so grateful that Night Nannies were able to find her for us especially with the little notice we gave. Working with your agency was a pleasure.

I highly recommend using their agency. This is the 3rd time we’ve needed them and every single nanny we’ve worked with was amazing. I completely trust their agency to work with only the best people. We are forever grateful for their help.

5 star agency

As a first time mum I had no idea what to expect from a nanny service. The website and all correspondence was very detailed and I was able to ascertain easily what we needed (a night nanny). We were sent lots of CV’s of potential nanny’s and able to choose. Once we had finished with our first nanny, we decided we wanted more help and they were able to match us again. Payment was easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the agency.

Thank you!!

Thank you so much Night Nannies! My experience of working with the agency was very smooth throughout the whole process. We worked with sleep trainer Margarita over five consecutive nights to help sleep train our 11-month-old baby, and the experience was genuinely transformative.

Margarita not only helped our (jet lagged!) baby become a better sleeper, but also supported her in feeling comfortable in her own room and cot, while gently helping us move away from contact napping, rocking and shushing. Her approach was calm, reassuring and always respectful of our baby.

What stood out most was Margarita’s exceptional 24/7 support throughout the five days and beyond — not just for night sleep, but also for naps and meal times. As I was trying to transition my baby towards eating more solids rather than relying on milk, Margarita offered thoughtful, practical advice, including meal ideas and simple recipes to support this shift.

With years of experience, Margarita shared anecdotes and insights from working with all kinds of babies, which I found incredibly comforting.

As a result of this process, my husband and I have our evenings back, and most importantly our baby is sleeping well and continuing to develop confidently and happily. She even started walking a week after! The positive impact has been felt across our whole family.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Night Nannies and Margarita to any family looking for a gentle, experienced and deeply supportive sleep trainer.

Our experience with nightnannies.com…

Our experience with nightnannies.com has been exceptional from start to finish. The team is efficient, responsive, and well-informed.We welcomed our night nanny in January 2024. What began as a two-month engagement extended to six months. Our son, then 3 months old, benefitted immensely from her expertise. She attentively addressed my concerns and expertly guided our son through sleep training. Now, he enjoys 11 hours of uninterrupted sleep and contentedly stays in his crib until we’re ready to greet the day. Our nanny’s vast knowledge has been invaluable in areas like teething, feeding, establishing bedtime routines, weaning, and addressing various parenting challenges. Her understanding is unparalleled. She is a cheerful, calm, and organized presence in our household, and both of our children adore her. Her trustworthiness has made her not just a nanny, but also a dear friend. I wholeheartedly recommend her to others without reservation.

Amazing newborn support

Alina jumped in to support us on short notice. She was absolutely wonderful. For almost a week, Alina provided day+night support for our newborn. She provided thoughtful, compassionate, expert care. She was also a pleasure to have around the house, with zero fuss and zero mess. If ever needed again, we'd call her immediately.

My review:

My review:
I contacted night nannys after my second baby turned out not to be the best sleeper. Four months of broken sleep (and a busy toddler!) had left me on my knees with anxiety and insomnia. I needed help! A friend recommended the agency and when I spoke with Anastasia she was so kind and helpful and instead of providing me with a night nanny, she instead gave me expert advice on what my baby might need - a shorter term hire who would sort the problem of my daughter’s sleep permanently. She gave me my Guardian Angel - Vera Valtcheva.

Vera joined us for four days to fix my daughter’s schedule. From day one I could have cried for joy. She got her from sleeping in our Snoo cot by my bed to sleeping in her own cot in her own room. After careful and expert observation of my little girl’s personality and development, Vera implemented a plan for her that meant she went from waking every two hours from 1am and using me as a human dummy to sleeping on her own and self-settling in her cot after two days. Vera brought the joy back in to our home by helping my little girl and getting me some more sleep. After day one my husband and I enjoyed cooking together and a whole evening together again for the first time in four months. She is with us until the end of the week and I don’t want her to go! She also teaches you how to enjoy the amazing time with your baby, giving you tips on toys and interactive play to help their development which in turn helps their sleep. But has the beautiful side effect of giving back to you the joy of a new baby - as the fog of tiredness clears and you can enjoy the glow of new motherhood confident you are doing the right thing for your child. No more insomnia for me! And looking forward to 8 hours unbroken sleep in the future!

Vera is an expert, kind, patient and truly loves her job and the children she cares for. I couldn’t have asked for better help for me and my family.

Serious & Dangerous Incident - Complaint Formally Substantiated

We experienced a serious and dangerous breach of safer sleeping protocol involving a nanny introduced to us by Night Nannies. Our 6-week-old daughter was left propped up on a pillow sleeping on a sofa, once whilst the nanny left the room for up to 5 minutes, and again while the night nanny slept at the other end of the sofa, with her feet next to the baby. We have no idea how long this had been going on for as it was only discovered by chance when we went downstairs during the night. At the time the nanny was being paid an enhanced rate of £29ph to remain awake during the night due to the baby being medically vulnerable.

Unfortunately, we were incredibly disappointed in how the agency reacted to the incident. Despite the seriousness of the issue, they initially downplayed and dismissed our complaint, forcing us to escalate it independently to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) — the official safeguarding body.
Following that referral, the outcome was formally substantiated, and both the nanny and the agency were required to undertake additional safeguarding training. However, this only occurred after external involvement.

We believe this experience highlights a worrying lack of accountability and oversight. In our case, the agency failed to take safeguarding seriously until compelled to.

We are sharing this review not out of anger, but because parents deserve to know that not all agencies uphold the high standards they advertise — and because no one should have to fight this hard to ensure basic safety is taken seriously.

It is our understanding that the nanny in question is still being introduced to new families via Night Nannies. If you are considering using this agency please check clause 11 of their terms and conditions, which attempts to remove any responsibility in checking the nanny being provided has references or relevant safety checks:

“11. While the Agency endeavours to verify the background of staff introduced before
employment commences, we cannot guarantee that all the information regarding the
Night Nanny is accurate. The Agency does not accept any liability whatsoever for
misrepresentation, loss, damage, injury, delay, claims or expenses arising out of an
introduction made by the Agency.”

Reply from Night Nannies

Dear David,

Further to your complaint against the Night Nanny, we investigated the allegation and the outcome was substantiated and that further training has been identified.
What she did was against safer sleep guidelines. This Nanny has had an unblemished track record with our agency and we believe this to be a one- off incident because of her sudden illness. As you know she had food poisoning from something she ate on the way to work. The sudden sickness led to her rushing to the bathroom and putting your baby propped up next to her.
The nanny has admitted this and not tried to hide anything it was down to extreme sickness and human error. She insists this never happened before as she was awake caring for your baby all the other nights she came. This was a one off.
The nanny has done further safe guarding training to ensure that this never happens again and she did not work for us until she completed her further safeguarding training.

We always take any complaints of safeguarding extremely seriously. We have been in business for the past 25 years. No nanny can join us unless they have a clear DBS, up to date first aid, a child safeguarding certificate, at least 10 newborn references and a rigorous interview process at our HQ.

The nannies are invited to free workshops at head office 2 times a year with paediatricians, like Neil Shah, and first aid and PND experts updating them with advice all the time.

I only take on 3 or 4 new nannies a year. They have to be of a very high standard. We keep a track record by calling clients every time the nanny finishes a job. If a nanny proves to be late, over-sleeps or is below our standards, we follow very thorough procedures to review the issue.

The best we can do as an agency is do our thorough due diligence and make sure their training is up to scratch and all their references are excellent and up to date, which we did with your nanny.

Once again, we take any complaint very seriously and have worked with LADO the nanny regulating service to ensure our high standards.

We are so sorry for the stress caused and wish your family well.

Best wishes
Anastasia Baker

Sleep consultant review

This is the second time that Cate has helped us sleep train our child, and when we knew we needed to do this again, we had no hesitation in knowing who to call. Cate’s methods are gentle and consistent, her ongoing support was invaluable (even as second timers on this process) if we had questions she was there to guide us. We had a slight hiccup following the sleep training with our little one falling ill that slightly put on hold some of the new sleep training methods. Cate was fantastic in making time to come back and help get our little one fully back into his new sleep regime. We would highly recommend Cate for sleep training.

Night Nannies are excellent

Night Nannies are excellent!
Through Night Nannies we found an incredible maternity night nurse who supported our family a few nights a week for 5 months after the birth of our baby. From the very first night, she brought such a calming, reassuring presence into our home, and I can’t imagine those early months without her.
Night Nannies are brilliant at understanding what you're looking for in a person and suggesting the right profiles for you to review. Couldn't recommend them more!

Couldn't recommend highly enough

Our baby arrived 5 weeks premature, night nannies were absolutely fabulous at finding us the kindest most competent maternity nurses to suit our specific needs within 48 hours. The nurses we've had have been beyond brilliant and cared for our son as if he was their own whilst teaching us so much on the job. I felt so much more competent in such a short space of time practicing things like leaving the house, giving baby a bath etc.

An angel in our lives

The night nanny we found through this agency has been an angel in our lives, and we genuinely don’t know what we’d do without her. From the moment she arrived, she’s been a calm, reassuring presence, not just for our baby, who adores her, but for us as exhausted new parents. Our baby is always so well-rested and content after a night with her, and the difference it makes to our days is massive. She’s proactive, extremely responsible, and somehow always one step ahead, anticipating what we need before we even realise it ourselves. It’s no exaggeration to say her support has become essential and we never want her to leave!

Beyond the nights, she has gone out of her way to make life easier for us in ways big and small. She was here for the baby's first jabs, which are hard for any parent. But with her expertise, calm presence, and reassuring words, she helped make the whole experience much smoother than we ever expected. She has a thoughtful approach to sleep routines, a lovely way of soothing the baby instantly, and we have had the peace of mind that comes from knowing she’s there. She is truly one of a kind and any family would be lucky to have her.

Avoid …

I’ve used two different night nannies from this agency with two of my children - in 2022 when my son was 20 months and more recently in September 2024 with my 8 month old.

The first time around the nanny was able to get my baby to sleep through, but there is no ‘magic formula’. It’s the cry it out method. Eventually after 45 minutes of screaming the child will fall asleep if this happens over the course of 3 nights. His sleep was then awful from the age of 1 to 2 years and the night nanny refused to help, aside from when I told her he keeps waking up at 5am and she said just ‘leave him in his cot to cry until morning, classed as 6am’ ! An hour of crying. I can’t stress enough how there is no magic formula.

The second nanny used in 2024 was allegedly the ‘gentle nanny’. I was told by Julie at the agency that if she had a baby this is ‘who she’d use’. This nanny arrived but had no understanding of exclusively breastfed babies. She also said her ‘method’ was a secret. A complete lack of transparency as you need to know what these people are doing with your baby and how you can achieve the same affects in the future. A Huge emphasis was placed on me ‘not having enough milk’ which I knew was completely inaccurate (I’ve exclusively breastfed all 3 of my children until past 1 years old with no issues and they are thriving). She patted and held the baby but at no point in the 4 days she was with us did he learn how to self soothe and was still waking up after she’d left. She had no clear plan and couldn’t decide whether or not he should be fed during the night and left that up to me, despite me paying a small fortune for the ‘sleep expert’ to solve the issue or ‘fix it’ as they like to say. My son was still waking up for four weeks after the night nanny had been and it was actually worse as he’d previously sleep 7pm till 10pm and after she’d gone he was waking every 30 minutes.

This is a very expensive service, provided by an agency who are preying on new parents who are desperate and would do/pay anything for a good nights sleep. The agency were less than helpful. When I contacted them to ask whether I had unrealistic expectations after 4 days of ‘sleep training’ as my child wasn’t sleeping, I got a very patronising response and was told to contact the sleep trainer directly. I thankfully found another sleep consultant through a friend who set out all the different methods and helped me to get my baby to sleep through in 2 nights with no stress on either part - by cutting the night breastfeeds (which he was waking up for) and yes there was some crying involved but no cry it out.

My advice would be to avoid avoid avoid. And if you do use this agency - ensure you have cctv so that you can see what is going on in the room with your baby when you are elsewhere. These night nannies are not ‘magic’. They are either leaving the baby to cry or they are not able to get the baby to sleep.
