Terrible Service
Nikon Service have had my Golf Rangefinder since the end of June 2025. After calling them it was supposedly moved to priority. After a week I called again. Still waiting for an estimate. I called again last week and was told they couldn't get the part so would offer me a discount on a new one. Nothing. I called again, and again. Eventually a young lady said I would be contacted by Sales, and a quote would be sent to me for a repair. Nothing. I called again, to be told there was an email that was going to be sent two days before, but wasn't.
August 6th I was offered a new one for £244.50, still no quote for a repair.
I informed the young lady that as I had purchased a new one for £220 from Japan, delivered last week, I would wait for the repair, and then sell it to recoup the cost. Still no Estimate.
I am still waiting. So Dissappointing!
I have been a Nikon Photography customer since the 70's, including cameras, lenses, and scanners.
I finally got the estimate today 13th August 2025. £556.26. RIDICULOUS, or WHAT?
26th August2025 I have just received a replacement rangefinder, for which I have paid £244.44. It arrived in a paper bag, and was a dirty, faulty, secondhand old unit. I am now disgusted with Nikon Service. The unit doesn't even match the serial number or model stated on the delivery invoice.
27th August 2025 Finally, a new rangefinder delivered, after a distribution error, I have a new rangefinder at 1/2 the price of a new one. This could all have been done in 2 weeks instead of 2 months. Then Nikon could have had 5 stars.
