Buyer beware!!
I made an initial enquiery for a pair of epaulettes with "Inspector Pips" on them.
A few emails went back and forth and I placed my order.
The epaulettes turned up and had only 1 pip (inspectors have 2). I emailed to say they weren't what I was expecting and the reply was to inform me "Whilst you asked for inspector pips, at no point did you mention having two pips on each epaulette. The quotation that we sent you states Line 1: PIP and then Line 2: Collar Number."
It's a given that Inspectors have 2 pips. I know of no police force in the UK where Inspectors have a single pip. I foolishly assumed that "Line 1:PIP" was the style, not literally a single pip.
Eventually, they asked me to return them as they should be able to add an extra pip. I returned them as requested, by recorded/signed for delivery, costing me around £1.50.
I received an email saying that the extra pip had been added and they would be returned to me for the delivery cost of £6.95 (including £1 for the extra pip), 4 times that for me to return them!
I am not paying the extra postage as I believe the mistake was theirs, not mine, and I'll chalk this one up to experience. I can only leave this review and warn others that the level of customer service they can expect is very poor. I am out of pocket but I think the whole process has been a farce and I am not throwing more money after bad.
You'd think a company specialising in this sort of equipment would know rank structure and insignia.

Have bought items from Niton 999 for years. They stock a fantastic range of equipment and clothing and their customer service is very good. All queries answered thoroughly and professionally. Any issues with orders are dealt with promptly. I recently wanted to order a pouch for a flashlight and they actually went into their stock and measured them for me to find the perfect one!
Would definitely recommend.
