Closed when they were advertised as being open.

We just visited this restaurant for a takeaway as the website stated that takeaways could be ordered before 7pm (we arrived at 6pm). We had been looking forward to it all day as we are on holiday. Their hatch was closed so we went to the main restaurant. The sign outside stated the restaurant was open until 11pm. There were people sitting at tables inside. As soon as we entered, a member of staff rushed to us and abruptly said that they were closed for training. I said that we only wanted a takeaway but he couldn't usher us out fast enough. We were quite shocked as the gathering inside did not appear to resemble training at all and looked more like a private party. Very disappointing and disgusted with how we we treated. There were no signs outside to say they were closed.

The younger members of staff were…

The younger members of staff were great, very polite & accommodating, however….. although we admittedly moved from a table inside the restaurant to outside before our lunch arrived, it then started raining & I informed our server that we would need to move back inside, again, this was before our lunch arrived.

An older member of staff, one of the managers, who was outside at that point, rolled her eyes & looked really pee’d off as the younger waitress happened to inform her of what I had decided. That really was not very nice & made my wife & I feel very unwelcome, sad & angry

Added to that, my CLAM LINGUINI was like eating mouthfuls of sand because the clams had not been purged (a cleaning process done in preparation & very basic to any chef)

Our lunch was £135 including a £12 service charge. I would normally have had the service charge removed but decided that this wasn’t fair to the other staff who were lovely

I don’t think we would go back as I think I would find it necessary to give EYE ROLLER a dressing down……and what’s the point of ruining our lunch again?

First time visit on 19.6.25 to the…

First time visit on 19.6.25 to the seafood restaurant by Avon beach near Mudeford. Food was excellent, staff were both helpful and humorous, facilities were clean and comfortable. Was it expensive? It was on the high end but so were the staff, facilities and food so no complaints and look forward to going back soon.

Not Good

We've been having fish and chips at the Noisy Lobster shack for years and we're been very happy to do so. But, over the last year or so, the quality has fallen dramatically. We tried it again today and it was awful so we now have decided never to go there again

My wife and I were recommended to go…

My wife and I were recommended to go the Noisy Lobster by our son and and his wife, when we returned from living in France 5yrs ago, since then we go as a special treat 3/4 times a year and have never been disappointed, until yesterday,I booked our table one week in advance for Easter, when booking,I asked for two table options, either a corner booth in the conservatory,or a table in the main restaurant by the window overlooking the sea.As we arrived on time there was a queue,as we stood in the queue,we could see through the conservatory window, people being seated at our first seating option ?despite being disappointed we thought no problem,we will have our second seating option,NO,we were shuffled off to a dark corner of the back of the main dining area where I had my back to the sea ! Feeling let down,we gathered our spirits, only to have them completely dashed when the serving lady Emelia told us that our two favourite dishes Monkish and Scallops were not available,we live inr Farnham, which is a round trip of 120miles,we were devastated, had I just had myself to consider I would have left,we muddled thru our meal which was fine but not what we wanted, the only thing that made it acceptable was Emelia the server, she realised that we were disappointed and gave us a lot of attention.
The Noisy Lobster experience relies on 4 key elements, good food, the view, ambiance and special service, unfortunately yesterday two of those elements were sadly missing, after paying our £150 bill,we walked backed to our car without the usual smiles on our faces, very sad !
