If you’re hesitating about getting a gastric bypass - don’t! Get it done and get it done by Nordbariatric! I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and I am feeling great. I have lost 15lbs so far and my energy levels are great and my wounds are healing just nicely. My only regret is that I did not get it done sooner. The nurses are exceptional. Lovely girls who looked after me, chatted to me about Dahmer (a Netflix show I was watching whilst in recovery) and the logistics team made everything run so smoothly, when it came to travel (I did Stansted to Vilnius), appointments, etc. The drivers were great, so calm and chatty (if you wanted a chat,or quiet if you needed reflection time). Thank you so much! And a huge thank you to Professor Maleckas. I feel so great 2 weeks after my surgery!

A very good experience with Nord. All staff were very nice and courteous. Apartments provided were of a very high standard. Could not recommend them more. Surgery went really well and after care was top notch.

I cannot fault Nords Bariatric team for their pre op care, during operation and immediate post op care. Nothing was too much trouble for the nursing staff. The admin staff answered all questions no matter how trivial and the logistics team were prompt and reliable.

I done a lot of research into different clinics before choosing Nordbariatric and I am so glad I did. It was the best choice, i was never made to feel like a cash machine and really felt my health was more important to them. The doctors, nurses and all the staff were amazing, really caring and very reassuring. Everything was perfect and the level of care was A++++

I have zero hesitation in recomending the Nordbariatric clinic. I did plenty research before deciding on travelling (from Ireland) and was not disappointed. The clinic is so modern, spotlessly clean, airy and well-staffed. I was blown away by the efficiency and professionalism of everyone I dealt with from the initial inquiries to post-op (I'm 2 weeks post gastric bypass and doing well). I met people who were coming back for the third and fourth time (for cosmetic surgery), people who travelled from Canada and the US for hip and knee surgery and so many people, like me, for bariatric surgery, most of whom are still in contact via group chats and all of us have said we would not hesitate to recommend or to go back to the Nordbariatric clinic (for the tummy tuck when all the loose skin appears :-))
From the day of inquiry, no-one was pushy, they were happy to answer all questions (I had many) and left me plenty time to make my decision. Once made, I had a choice of dates which were within the month and beyond and they assisted with accommodation also. You're collected from the airport, chauffered from the clinic to accommodation for every appointment and delivered back to the airport again.
I'd also highly recommend the Nord apartments, which I stayed in - new apartments, fully equipped with kitchenette, large spacious rooms, comfy bed with 6 pillows of different fillings!! Honestly, I could keep ranting but I think you probably realise, this is a rave review!!!
BTW, for anyone living in Ireland, the bariatric surgery qualifies for the CBD (cross border directive) so, once you have any GP referral (my BMI was 32), this operation is FREE (you get the money back in about 3 months from the HSE). It's a no-brainer - no waiting times and no cost! Go for it!!!

Initially my experience was great, booked surgery and flew to Lithuania with no problems. staff were great and really friendly. However, due to my blood test results I was declined for surgery on 8th August 2022, I was told it would take up to 4 weeks for a full refund. Here we are 6 1/2 weeks on and I lost out on the surgery and still haven’t seen my refund.
How does it take this long to process a refund??

Superb from start to finish. Dr. Maleckas And the entire team were fantastic. Great support and communication from everyone involved. Best decision I have ever made.

Honestly from first contact to the after care Nord are first class, a little bit more expensive than other clinics but you truly do get what you pay for! The clinic is state of the art and the staff are so friendly and professional. First class all the way

From start to finish, my experience with Nords was amazing. From my initial contact with Ineta, arrival in Lithuania, the care I received before and after my surgery was all excellent. I am two weeks post op and feel great. I would highly recommend Nords Clinic.

I was a bit apprehensive at first about going abroad for surgery but I needn't have worried. Communication was excellent via email with Ineta, questions were answered extremely quickly, booking and paying was straight forward. I flew into Vilnius and was picked up by the transport team and taken back by the team which is around about an hours drive to Kaunas. Travel to and from the clinic was all provided. The staff at the clinic were extremely professional at all times and helpful. Overall, I couldn't fault anything and I would highly recommend this clinic.

I had the pleasure of having weight loss surgery with Nords in Lithuania. Everyone was so helpful from the get go, from the customer representative, shout out to Ineta, to the staff in the clinic. Everybody was amazing. From the moment I landed in Lithuania I was greeted by a driver to drive me to my hotel and was kept informed of appointments via WhatsApp. They collected me and dropped me back after each appointment and surgery. A very pleasant experience. A massive thanks to Dr Almantas Maleckas for my surgery, you have changed my life for the better.

From making the much researched decision to finally having my surgery just over 2 weeks ago I have been very impressed with the service and support given.Professor Malakas is a very esteemed and professional man with years of experience. His team do him credit as well. So glad I decided to choose NordicBariatric.

Right from the start Nords have given the best service. Everything is taken care of and you don't have to worry about anything from your arrival to departure. Staff all speak english and very friendly.

I was nervous about traveling abroad for surgery but from the minute i contacted them i was put at ease. My rep was amazing very quick to respond to all messages and answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. The Nord logistics crew contacted me to schedule collection time and they were always on time very nice guys chatty and had alot of tip for sightseeing around Kaunas they were so nice and friendly. And last but not least Nords clinic what can i say only from the reciption desk staff to the surgens to the nurses they were wonderful. They couldnt do enough for you so kind and the level of care was next to none. They made sure you were comfortable and cared for and were always on hand if you needed something. I would definatly have no concerns going there for future surgeries and would wholeheartly recommend Nords to anyone.

From the moment I contacted The Nords Clinic I encountered nothing but professionalism.
The contact with my rep prior to my departure for Kaunas was always very prompt and professional.
Once I arrived in Kaunas I was collected from the airport by a very nice young man who brought me safety to y hotel. I stayed at the Kaunas City hotel which was recommended by Nords, it was a fantastic base for me, and I must say I don't think I ever slept in a bed that was as comfortable!!
The clinic itself was very well run, spotlessly clean with alot of detail in relation to IPC. The anaesthetist met me before my surgery and discussed all the possible side effects, she was very patient and explained everything really well. All the nurses are very professional and I was very happy with the care I received while in the clinic.
I am two weeks post surgery now and am felling 100%. My incisions are healing beautifully.
Another bonus was meeting two very nice ladies whom had surgery the same day as me, we will remain friends for a long time.

The Nords Clinic was amazing the staff were so helpful and answered all my questions and fears. They are so reassuring throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering this hard decision. The Clinic was impeccably clean and no fear of catching Covid as everyone wore masks and gloves. The reception was very helpful in filling out the forms and requests. They are definitely a five out five for me.

From the moment I decided to do the surgery I have had the most amazing seemfree and positive adventure.
Ineta was my Rep and I'm so grateful to her for her support and quick reply along the way.
From being picked up at the Airport, being brought for covid and blood tests and any appointment the Drivers were on time, friendly and very easy to talk with.
The Nord's Clinic Appartment was exactly what I needed and was surrounded by other people that had gone through the same procudure.
As for the Professor.... An exceptional kind, friendly, funny and informative Gentleman.
The Nurses are so kind and patient.
There haven't been any bumps on my journey because of the Care and support I got from Nord's.
I couldn't recommend this Clinic More.
