From start to finish the service was A1. Everything went very smoothly and the communication was great throughout.
This is the best money I've ever spent. It sorts out lots of medical issues as you lose weight. Clinic is very modern and a sterile environment. The care and professionalism of everyone I met was exemplary. Can't praise them enough.

Went very smoothly. Picked up from Vilnius airport, driven to Kaunas hotel. Picked up for pre-op tests, surgery later that day. Everything went smoothly. 2 weeks post-op now, everything healing well. Never needed more than Tylenol (Paracetamol) for pain, which was just a little soreness. Clinic was spotless. Felt very safe and well cared for. Surgeon and anesthesiologist were caring and excellent. Was taken back to airport. Couldn't have been better.

Undoubtedly, I would highly recommend the Nord clinic to anyone who expresses an interest, in surgery of this nature, for the following reasons:

The Professor, is a very skilled surgeon, who is very professional and caring. The professor thoroughly explained everything to me, prior to surgery. The nursing staff at the Nord clinic are very professional and provided ongoing care and support.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the two laddies, at reception. As, they were so kind hearted, caring, extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with and most importantly a credit to the Nord clinic, as they are the first people I met and they have made a positive lasting Impression on me.

The transportation facility was excellent and all the staff were caring and extremely professional at all times.

Finally, I wish to express that overall my experience at the Nord clinic, was excellent.

I can’t recommend Nords highly enough! I had bariatric surgery and from initial enquiry through to flying home, everything was excellent. The clinic itself is spotless and well equipped, nursing staff attentive, knowledgeable and skilled, anaesthetist was absolutely lovely and I recovered so well from anaesthetic, Prof Maleckas was professional and performed my surgery with precision, zero complications 2 weeks post op and wounds healing very well.
I took a long time researching various options including staying in the UK and came back to this clinic every time. Everyone I met there (abdo and ortho surgery patients) held Nords in the same high regard. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and I thank the whole team for taking such good care of me.

i flew from london out to nordbariatric clinic for bilateral inguinal hernia surgery
the whole process was 100% perfect , the surgeon comes to chat with you in your private room at the clinic before and after surgery , the nurse care is great , i stayed at nord private apartments for four days after surgery to rest up ,where a nurse visits you daily ,i downloaded bolt taxi app though did not need to use it as drivers are included to take you everywhere

I developed a groin hernia and was on the NHS wait list, unfortunately the hernia was very uncomfortable and I felt that by the day it was getting worse.
My technique to try and stay as healthy as possible was to avoid Doctors and hospitals as much as possible. Unfortunately I realised I had no choice but surgery if I wanted my old life back.

I did exhaustive research NHS, private in the UK, Private in Asia but kept coming back to this clinic in Lithuania.
Being a little old fashioned I like quick and courteous correspondence, Julija, my first point of contact was quick, knowledgeable and courteous, it gave me great confidence to proceed.
My friends and family sighed when I informed them I was going to have the surgery in Lithuania, but I felt confident and pushed on.

I was given a date for surgery in May 23, I was particularly motivated as my surgeon was to be Linas Venclauskas who I had researched in great detail.

From the arrival at Kaunas airport everything was first class, we booked one of the clinics large apartments with a view over the Neris river which again was perfect.

The day before the surgery I had a range of tests to make sure I was suitable for the surgery, I met with Linas Venclauskas who had the presence and charm of an old school surgeon but with the latest cutting edge know how - having been around health and wellness all my life I knew my health was in very capable hands.

The next day I was admitted to a very nice room, the anaesthetist came to see me, again I was filled with confidence and was ready to go.

The facilities in the clinic/hospital were superb, the surgery went extremely well and I woke up back in my room. I had no issues with feeling unwell in fact I felt good. I had a good nights sleep and the next morning I was visited by the surgeon Linas Venclauskas who informed me everything had gone well, it was an uneventful procedure which was good to hear.

I'm now almost a week after surgery, I'm back in the UK and feeling good.

I would just like to thank the whole team at Nordorthopaedics in Kaunas for a fantastic experience from the start to the finish of my journey to have my Hernia repair one month ago today.

7 weeks ago I traveled to Kaunas for tests and diagnosis and found everyone from the drivers to the clinic managers and reception right through to the nurses and surgeons to be perfect. Professional, friendly, caring and importantly followed up on everything they said or did.

I have been in discussion with Nordorthopaedics for 4 years about different problems and have shared over 90 e mails in that time. The team have been very patient and courteous and gave me much confidence to go ahead with my operation when I travelled back there 4 weeks ago.

A month later I feel great, never having to take any of the pain killers or medication they gave me to dull the pain after the operation . I never had any discomfort whatsoever. I fully expect to be back playing golf soon, thats after spending a few weeks holiday with our new grandson and lifting and having fun with him.

I had all sorts of reservations, the surgery itself, is it a scam, or was the operation going to be performed in the back of butcher’s shop!

It couldn’t be further from the trust, the surgical care was first rate, everything explained, pre op tests to ensure nothing goes wrong.

The facilities are world class, all the staff speak excellent English and extremely caring, as for the result it’s been life changing!

I consider going to Turkey and having the operation in the UK and I couldn’t of made a better choice.

Overall it was a brilliant experience. I felt safe, I was well looked after and couldn't say a negative thing about my experience.

The staff speak brilliant English, they pick you up, taxi you to all appointments and provided emotional support after the operation.

I recommend Nords to anyone looking for professional, clean and safe Bariatric surgery abroad. I received top notch care in a modern, hygienic environment. Travel there and back was easy and no language barrier in the country. Nords have Facebook groups for all of the medical things that they do, I found these groups so supportive, they helped while I was making up my mind and after I had booked my op and when I arrived back home when it was done. There will also be a WhatsApp group for the people going out at the same time as you for the same op, I found this really helpful, we supported each other the whole way through. I wish I’d done this sooner.

I accompanied my wife to Nord in February where she received a hip replacement. Whilst there I decided to request a consultation for a long-standing hernia. I talked to the surgeon one day and had the operation the next. From previous research on Nord carried out by my wife I already knew that Nord was a very professional concern so I had no concerns about going ahead with the procedure. I am now 5 weeks into recuperation and doing well. The staff at Nord, medical and admin, are professional, helpful, informative and always friendly. I would always recommend them. In my opinion there is nothing to recommend a private UK operation over one at Nord in Lithuania.

I had a gastric bypass at Nord and was blown away by the professionalism and care received from the whole team every step of the way. It is such a huge decision but I felt comfortable and confident with Nord the whole time and the results have been lifechanging. If you have made the decision that surgery is for you then I would 100% recommend Nord.

From start to finish Nords provided a professional service that was second to none. My initial enquiries were dealt with quickly and efficiently by Julija, who responded promptly, and did all she could to provide a smooth service, pre-op.

My flights were easy to book and Julija, helped me secure my accommodation. Once I landed I received WhatsApp messages for my pick up, and the logistics driver was waiting for me, just outside arrivals.

They drive you to your chosen accommodation, and pick you up from there for your pre-op tests and on the day of your op.

The clinic was spotlessly clean, and the staff from nurses, admin and of course the Professor, were all professional and caring. I felt well looked after. Post op they check on you, even the Professor checked on me the next day, just make sure I was happy. All staff speak perfect English, as well as other languages, such a smooth, seamless experience.

My experience was fantastic, no long waiting times, no cancelled arrangements, and no extortionately high fees.

I am now 6 weeks out and feel amazing, I am so grateful to have had this opportunity, thank you to the whole team for giving me my life back. Highly recommended.
