North road cycles are in general good to deal with friendly approachable , but I have had issues with the bike and been back a few times I have emailed about the issues,but not always got a reply and been blamed for the paint ,which was one spot not “several”as in a reply to an email I sent ,the issues of the mechanical have not been addressed correctly in my opinion ,I now no longer ride the bike as I am fed up with ongoing issues,I have all the emails and screenshots of messages sent ,this issue has affected my mental state as I cannot get out to cycle for my “headspace “ which cycling gives you

I am local to the bikery and was aware they had a shop downstairs from the Rapha cafe but just thought they were part of that. A friend had a NorthRoad bike and I was impressed with the build quality of the bike. I ordered the bike in Sept 21, aware that a delay may arise due to component shortage, especially with the new shimano di2 12 speed ultegra groupset. Both Stephen and Ian offered an alternative 11 sp to get the bike to me sooner but ai thought I'd have it before xmas. Sadly not, due to the shortages and delays in components I did not receive the bike until March and I did get worried a few times but people have to realise that they are a small operation, they cannot respond automatically to questions when they are building bikes in the day. When I finally got my bike, wow, what a machine. The beautiful blue colour scheme, the incredibly responsive iO frame. It was quick from the go. Had a few teething issues that were all sorted out by the team and occasionally pop in for a brew and a natter all things bikes. A lovely crew at NorthRoad. I highly recommend their fine bicycles.

I collected my bike a couple of months ago now (March 2022). I loved seeing the progress of the build through twitter. The team at North Road are great - passionate cyclists, put the customer first and generally really decent folk. Helpful when it came to discussing the colour scheme and delivered a great end product. Love the bike - fun to ride, exploring new places. You cant go wrong with this team. Thanks guys.

The service from the team at north roads has been excellent throughout the purchase process from initial consultation, and a test ride, through to the final delivery, of what is an astounding bike. Not only would I use them again for another bike, but I plan to, and soon!

4 stars because it took a little longer than anticipated to get the bike and a few parts were compromised, mostly due to global shortage. Those have now been swapped out and the bike has been set up for me. I’ve been riding and racing bikes for 30 years at various levels and Ive ridden more bikes than I care to remember so when I say this is right up there alongside the best frames I’ve ridden. It’s fast and stiff, yet also comfortable. Every ounce you put through the pedal stroke feels like it propels you forward. Feels equally at home doing a snappy 30 minutes smash fest as it does mooching about for 5/6 hours. I also have a Canyon Aeroad CFX SL with 12 speed SRAM AXS but it’s mostly hanging up in favour of the NorthRoad at the moment. If you are prepared to wait for your dream machine then I can highly recommend giving NorthRoad a call.

Any frame any groupset tyres wheels saddle everything bespoke to my perfect bicycle from first contact to pick up to a quick hydraulics bleed and rear mech tweak nothing is too much for Ian, Jane or Stephen(bertie too) aurora is perfect!!!!

I read about NorthRoad on various forums and it was clear that they had a very enthusiastic customer base. Up until that point, I hadn't considered a custom bike, but the more I read about them, the more interested I got. I had an online 'coffee' with Stephen which was focused on what I wanted from a bike rather than what he wanted to sell me. There was never any pressure, but there was plenty of insightful advice and this absolutely won me over. I placed an order knowing that it would be 12-14 weeks for delivery. During this time I was able to ask questions and to pop into the Bikery to meet the team and talk about the custom paint job.

In a short space of time, a brand I hadn't heard of turned into a community and by the time I collected the bike, it felt like going to visit friends. The NorthRoad Explorer is a carbon gravel bike and I absolutely love it. The ride is incredibly smooth and I am amazing how fast it is - I am already beating times I had set on a Specialized Roubaix! It has been set up beautifully and just feels and sounds perfect.

I cannot recommend NorthRoad Cycles highly enough.

Great team, bought my bespoke Quest bike from them and they were honest the entire way throughout with great communication when the bike would be available. Will purchase again for sure!

I can't knock the quality of the bike when it arrived, it looks great and it built with excellent quality parts. The team are clearly very knowledgeable about bikes and really know how to build them.

The challenge I had was with the delay in production and communication about the build... it took much longer than anticipated and I didn't feel I was given good communication about when the bike would be delivered. Emails and calls were also not always responded to, so I did get worried that my bike wouldn't be delivered when it was paid for. After applying some pressure, my bike was eventually delivered, unfortunately just in time for winter, so I was frustrated with the late delivery, but I am happy with the delivered product.

I will add that there were global supply chain issues with Shimano components, which was largely out of the team's hands, but I still feel the bike could have been delivered more quickly and communication could have been improved. I will also add that they upgraded some components to deliver the bike ASAP when they knew I was getting very frustrated, which was appreciated.
