I recently met up with a friend at Notcutts in Woodford. We were served by a lovely girl called Eleanor with a megawatt smile who catered to our needs in a friendly and efficient way (can't fault the staff here - they are all personable). Many thanks, Eleanor, you made our morning extra special.

We have visited the Notcutts Woodford cafe and was served by Eleanor. Pleased to mention that we have received an excellent friendly service. Food and drinks were good quality and presented nicely. Pleasant atmosphere and have a relaxed meal.

Oxford branch of Notscuts restaurant is definitely best avoided. One young man serving on a busy Sunday afternoon while other staff swanning around doing very little and chatting in the kitchen. Hardly any choice of food and after standing in the queue for 15 minutes, on finding out that the only quiche was non vegetarian, I asked if we were able to have egg mayo sandwiches with salad instead of quiche and despite offering to pay the same (extortionate) price as the quiche with salad was met with a point blank NO.....Went to Wetherspoons instead and got 3 meals and drinks for price of one meal at Notscuts... shame because wanted to buy some plants and pots but will buy these elsewhere now too.Will NEVER return.

Not one for writing reviews but this is a must, the service received from a lovely lady named Kerry at the feather stone branch early today was amazing, her product knowledge was on point answering all our questions with great confidence, didn’t come across at all pushy and followed her sale through to the end by meeting us at the pick up point. Thank you so much will definitely be back

Very disappointing. Gluten-Free fish and chips were VERY expensive £11-95. Portion was small and the fish was O.K. but the chips, very dry, tasteless and a scanty portion. Paper napkins NOT full size very thin and inadequate . The staff seemed indifferent although not rude. It was NOT value for money or even tasty and enjoyable.
It was clean and comfortable in the restaurant but I would NOT recommend it nor go there again.

We visited yesterday 3/6/22 to the cafe area (cake & coffee) It was around 12.30am previous experience is that it gets busy early.
Hubby & I sat to have our coffee & then I asked for a gluten free scone. Not got any again this visit & all they could offer was cake!
I then asked if I could get a slice of gluten free toast as I don't do cake at at 11ish. Yes we waited.. & waited.. & waited till my hubby asked where it was? She said it was busy so it was in a que? (not busy when we came at 11ish?) do we cancelled to notice on paying that they had already added the toast to the bill (hubby spotted it) otherwise would have charged us.
In essence if your gluten free they offer it but you can't have any.
Seems more of a problem than your worth. Waitress was very pleasent & willing to please though & we do enjoy shopping there as its one of the best to offer good quality at a price of cause.

I have to say, I am a little surprised at some of the negative reviews, we have always found everything we need at the Woodford branch. Service in the cafe has always been good and ALL the staff have been both helpful and friendly. A nice relaxing atmosphere !

Went to look around the Aquatics centre within the garden centre, all the staff were friendly and helpful, John who I think is only part time was excellent !! Gave me good honest advice, wasn’t pushy. The fish tanks look clean and the fish healthy. After pricing everything up for me I decided to purchase although john was happy for me to go away and think about it. Love my new pond and fountain ! Thanks John you have made myself and my family very happy!. Keep up the great work . See you soon,

Tea ok but where could you go wrong there! One cake was really dry. Sent it back, only offer for replacement. Other cake was inedible (same as lady sat near me) far, far too sweet!

absolutely dreadful breakfast.
Rock hard sausage and bacon left on heat or under heat for hours probably yesterday warned up who knows! was only 11.15am so should have been fresh.
Eggs ok but forget the rest awful taste left in the mouth from the sausage.

Notcutts Staines Middlesex.

Coffee was not good at all. Didn't resemble a Latte with any stretch of the imagination. Returned second one was marginally better. Food was way overpriced and a portion of chips was 10. Food was nothing special for the price. Much much better places to eat and better value. Place was empty. Not surprising.

I visited Nottcutts in Norwich today with my daughter and granddaughter, the quiche I ordered was horrendous, it was supposed to be cheese and tomato it was devoid of all flavour and was just like scrambled egg, I took it back to be told sorry you don’t like it; that wasn’t the point it wasn’t a quiche, I was told they have to work to a certain recipe, well the recipe isn’t working Notcutts! I paid over £10 for an inedible quiche new potatoes, coleslaw and a few salad leaves, never again.

This is about the restaurant , all the tables were full of trays of used crockery , cups and leftover food etc , etc.
The poor girl in there was rushed off her feet and working front of house entirely on her own desperately trying to keep up.
Not good enough , Notcutts , on a Sunday afternoon at the start of summer.
She should have had help from at least 2 more staff to have any hope of keeping up.

I have been visiting Widnes garden center for many years and decided to join their club which costs £12 all over the place it states join our privilege club 10% of everything but comes to use card for first time in cafe to find it is not included in the discount scheme neither are any of the other outlets in this place what makes it worst that the cafe has signs hanging from ceiling about discount and joining the club the signs should tell people that all these places are not included if they join so basically I'm warning other people before they join and think everything is included very misleading

Smallford branch. I went in restaurant and had a Pizza £7.50. It was very brittle as over baked and not an eyedrop of spicy tomato sauce (the essential ingredient). Ham and mushroom was fine. Cutting it was VERY difficult. I will never go again for food or plants.
Goodbye Notcutts.

Had a look around the summerhouses today at the Maidstone Notcutts. The man (with glasses) who worked there was incredibly rude. I asked if they had any 16ft summerhouses and explained that I just wanted to see how big it was as I'd already bought one. He asked where from and when I said Robert Dyas, he rolled his eyes and said "good luck with that"! Rude and undermining! I shall be complaining about his attitude to the actual company he works for. Not everyone can spend a fortune - I have bought it for my children and they are happy. Even if I had the money, I would certainly not buy a summerhouse from someone with an attitude like that.

Visited Woodford branch intending to look at BBQs - ended up buying one. We also had lunch. Can I say, contrary to a few other commentors, that all our staff interactions were very pleasant. Service in the BBQ area, Restaurant, Check Out was all text book good. I still don't fully understand complaints about food in a Garden Centre - it sells garden stuff, it's not a gourmet dining experience.

Came for lunch with friend.
Was esrly so had coffe and cheese scone, which was not very cheesy, made staff aware.
Ordered quiche which arrived with under cooked pastry bottom.
Sent back to kitchen and 2nd one arrived, still under cooked.
Not the best experience to be honest

Restaurant Woodford - Arrived yesterday to find a long queue of people waiting to be seated despite there being numerous empty tables.

After about five minutes a male employee approached a couple at the front of the queue and told them they would be seated shortly as a table was coming free. He didn’t explain the reason for the delay to them or anyone else and just wandered off.

It was obvious we were in for a long wait so we left.

This is very poor customer service. The male employee, who appeared to be charge, needs to hone his personable skills, he looked thoroughly disinterested!

Visited the widnes garden centre today. Went into the cafe. Lovely lunch with family and very good service. Especially Libby who brought fresh pots of tea to the table. Staff always very pleasant.
