Booking was very straightforward, nice and clean van (could be bit bigger but it is what it is), good customer service. Lady on the phone was very helpful as I was not comfortable giving my card details over the phone, she understood and offered and alternative. Good price for almost 3 days too.

I have been using No 1 Van Hire periodically (maybe once or twice a year) since the mid-1990s. Have always found them to be professional, courteous, reasonably priced and have never had any issues with the vans.

Number one recently took over a local car hire in Hackbridge. I booked the car with number one car hire. When I got too Hackbridge there was no sign showing Numberone cars. I checked on the internet and found the nearest one in Croydon. I made my way there and was advised the office I needed was in Hackbridge and that this was happening all the time. When I got back to Hackbridge and went to the office of a clearly signposted different company I was advised to look again at a sign that was only visible as you entered the office. The sign had the previous companies name and in much smaller type the name of Numberone.
You really need to be clearer on signage and explain the situation on the website. It wasted a lot of my time and had me searching for the office in Croydon as it does not state on the website that the car hire office is inside a hotel. No problem with the hiring of the car.

I've used Number One may times over the past 20 years, most recently in October 2020 for a van. Every time I've dealt with Number One, they have been great, even letting me drop by to measure the dimensions of the vehicle to make sure it would do the job I needed it for. I've always found them to be great value too, always beating Sixt, Enterprise etc on price.

For service and price, they are hard to beat.

A good efficient company who supplied a vehicle without any problems.
