How dog day care should be - 2 years on still happy!
*Update 5/8/15*
My last review (see below) was back in July 2014. I felt it was worth updating this as I have now been using Nuts About Mutts for a further year.
Has my first review or opinions changed? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Averaging 2-3 days of care each week, try as I might I can't find fault with the service offered.
My 3 year old lab has become more confident, but socially aware as a result of day care here. He loves going and confidently walks himself in.
I have used more frequently over the last 12 months and had several overnight stays including 8 consecutive days whilst away on holiday. Naturally, we miss our pets, so when Lois lets you know that they are ok and all is good, you get that warm and reassured glow when you are away that you can rest easy.
Lois is flexible and will accommodate if she can.
On many occasions I get a breakfast refusal from the dog, but Lois will gladly offer it to him later in the morning, perhaps when he is ready and will do whatever it takes to ensure the uppermost care is given to your dog.
With the service and competitive prices I have no reason to consider using anyone else for looking after my dog.
If you need someone to care for your pooch, give Nuts About Mutts a try.
___________________________________________________
I have been using Nuts About Mutts for a year now and can speak openly and honestly about just how superb the experience is for me and my four legged friend.
The service received from day one has been friendly and professional.
Since using their services I have not come across any issues. In fact Lois (the owner) is very accommodating and for regular clients will work to find a solution for you when necessary. For example on one day I needed to arrange a drop off at 7am but with an earlier pickup. Whilst outside her normal hours of operation, she did this for us.
Run from home, the dogs are within a family environment and not stuck in kennels and left there until it is time for a walk. They are free to run around the back garden & play as they like.
Unlike some sitters where they take a maximum number of dogs and charge more as a result, with Nuts about Mutts the number of dogs cared for varies, but makes for a good social mix for the dogs and helps with their learning.
My dog is never afraid to go, generally comes back worn out.
What makes Nuts About Mutts different is that they are firm and caring. Dogs are taught right from wrong, to play nice, to socialise and be well behaved but to also be fun loving creatures and when needed show the additional care.
On one or two occasions my dog has not been too well on the morning when being dropped off. Lois kept an eye on him and let me know when and if things got worse. One did and I am thankful, because he needed surgery. She looked after him before and after, at times I couldn't.
I can't to date (after 12 months) fault the service and experience I have had with Nuts about Mutts and can only recommend it.
Go, take a look, speak to them and see if it is right for your dog.
