Top business.

I was introduced to NWS via my local independent LR service centre for suppliers of top quality replacement engines. However, I had my own issue on my LR Disco 3 when I was passing NWS. Josh was great and managed to check the fault history and reset all faults. Topman and top business indeed. Highly recommended. Many thanks for your help Josh and the NWS Team.

Brilliant Service & Support as always…

Called Monday morning to see whether NWS could take a look at possible FNS brake calliper issue on our Freelander 2 that we’d identified over the Weekend. Ashley asked if we could drop the car off, as soon as, they’d hopefully, at least, get the diagnostic element done that day and come back to me with findings and timelines etc. When I dropped off the car I asked them to check if / when Service was due (based on current mileage) Note: The vehicle’s previous Service(s) / Inspections, since it’s purchase, have been carried-out @ NWS. As Interim Service WAS ‘overdue’ (my oversight) it seemed logical to add this to requested actions. Later that morning I received an update call confirming calliper issue and proposed resolution / £cost etc ( this is standard practice @ NWS so you always know what’s required and the rationale behind parts / work proposals to address - this Estimate info is then forwarded via email to request ‘go ahead’ confirmation - so you always know where you are £cost-wise etc). By late afternoon the car was ready for collection - with Service elements all done too. So with an expectation at start of day that we might potentially be without the car for a several days - all sorted (& more) in less than 8 hrs ! Brilliant service and support from NWS Team again ! Thank You - very much appreciated & credit where it’s due !

There are very few businesses that…

There are very few businesses that provide this level of reliable, friendly and professional service. NWS Motor Services exceeded our expectations and also exceeded the standard of service we'd had previously from Landrover themselves. Initially we were looking at a very costly repair on our vehicle but after NWS carried out a thorough investigation they were able to get to the root cause and save us several thousands of pounds.

NWS Service

Josh very helpful and came up with a variety of options to maintain my Land Rover - Land Rover Main Dealers could learn a lot from this approach. The work was done quickly and to my satisfaction - courtesy car was provided at no extra cost (unlike Hatfields of Shrewsbury who charge you £20!!) - NWS now have my custom going fwds.

shocking company, shoddy workmanship and dont even honour the warranty

where do i start !! NWS through Motoreasy replaced my Discovery engine early last year at a cost of £10k , by the end of 2022 the disco was drinking oil, well within warranty i assumed NWS would get it fixed for but no way! they wont collect the car ( im 100's miles away and cant drive the disco) so they said we're pay £400 max for a local garage to repair - well when the garage started work they found NWS hadnt changed the oil-pump and this needed replacing ( thought we had a new engine??) this repair cost £1300 which ive had to pay and also lost 3-4months use of the car
now the garage says theres a wistling noice from the turbo seals ... again shoddy workmanship from NWS - where is this going to end?
IN COURT VERY SHORTLY AS I HAVE A VERY SHARP LEGAL TEAM

Trouble is your reply gives i away - i am your customer as i have had a replacement engine from yourselves - even if Motoreasy contributed to the costs im still your customer - please share your email address and i will send you photos of the oil pump and seal that clearly shows it is old and hasnt been replaced

Hi Mr Bruce,

Thank you for your most recent review, as you know and we have already stated in your previous review, with great respect you are not our customer, this lies between you and your warranty policyholder, so we replicate the statement from your warranty provider. also just for your information, every engine built by NWS has a brand-new oil pump fitted, we have over 10,000 customers who can prove this.

"Reply from MotorEasy

Thank you for your review however we would like to raise some points you have missed for prospective customers.

You have indeed been a MotorEasy member since 2018 on your 103,800 mile 2015 Land Rover Discovery.

Over that period, you have had many approved claims including a £1400 inlet manifold replacement in 2018, £475 suspension replacement in 2020, as well as two goodwill repairs for £757 and £467 in 2021.

Regarding your 2022 claim, you reported a noisy turbo and we send an independent inspector to the vehicle. They found that the engine required replacement, and this was covered under your warranty.

We paid over £7500 on the claim to get your vehicle back on the road at the start of 2022.

Then in December, you reported an oil leak and upon stripping the garage found the oil pump was in bad shape and required replacing. The oil pump wasn’t replaced as part of the original engine repair.

We sent an independent inspector to the vehicle but the repairs had been completed and there were no parts retained to carry out an inspection, we were required to decline the claim which was completed with no authority. Despite this, we again agreed to cover £500 in goodwill towards this fault.

Unfortunately, as we have no evidence to conclude that NWS are responsible, and the failed parts for a non approved repair are not available to inspect, we cannot cover the repair under your policy.

We believe you have been dealt with fairly and equitably and have previously gone to great lengths above and beyond the terms of your policy to assist with repairs; but are limited to the terms of your Plan C policy. It is not fair to other members, who pay through increased premiums, for us to continue assisting with repairs not covered by your plan."

amazing company

I called this company and spoken to nathan the MD. I had a problem with my SDV8 land rover he said come down we would look at it for me. Turns out while i was there the car seized at no fault to theres due to being advised the bottom end had given up they looked at it for free and could not of asked for a better team plus they did not charge me a penny. Highy recommended and would use again.

Come to these guys not the dealerships!!

My Evoque had been in my local garage for 3 weeks waiting for parts / guidance from Stafford Landrover which they did not received. We had to have the car back with faults still on it. I Called NWS motor services this am as found on the internet as Land Rover Specialists and cannot believe the difference in Customer Services! From calling at 10:30 for the initial query to them, confirmation they had it, travelling to the garage about an hour and having the work done it was all done and I was on my way home at 1:30 pm. I called Landrover first thing to be told £180+ VAT to just diagnose even tho we knew what they problem was and they have emails from the other garage. Thank you so much Ashley and the team! The service you provide was great and would recommend these.

Disgusting products and extremely poor customer service

I bought a Disco 3 from NWS 3 years ago with a rebuilt engine, it only lasted 12k miles and I had to sell it for scrap!!
When I bought it, I followed all their guidelines for running the engine in, I went back to NWS for any remedial work, I spent a small fortune with because foolishly I thought I could trust them.
How wrong I was.
The engine blew again in less than 3 years and 12k miles, I went back to them and all they could say was "THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, SORRY, WE'LL FIT ANOTHER ENGINE FOR 5k". What? just to get another 3 years out of it. I sold it for scrap value or less.
I am thoroughly disgusted and profoundly disappointed at the way NWS has treated us, I do not know of any recourse other than to try and warn others of their ineptitude and disgusting customer service.
BE WARNED, BE CAREFULL.

Competitive Pricing and Excellent Customer Service

I found this company almost by accident, previously I had been using the main dealer to service my Discovery Sport. Over the last eighteen months I have had my car serviced and work done on the brakes here, the work has been very competitively priced with the added bonus of outstanding customer service. Many thanks to Josh, Ashley and Sam for the friendly, helpful and professional service, making coffee, dropping me home and delivering my car back and follow up calls to ensure that everything is OK. I highly recommend this company and will certainly be using them again myself

Terrible service including poor fitting

I had a recon engine fitted in my Range Time frame was 2 months , collected my car almost 4 months later, to then drive away with a car that had a damaged prop shaft, which wasn’t currently a issue when the car got taken to them (NWS) 2 months goes past and my engine management light come back on, to then have messages ignored and then my car engine failing and seizing (2 months after) got the car recovered back to be told it would take 2:3 weeks , but in the mean time had to source myself a hire car from my own pocket , to then be told I needed a new turbo , which I have now had fitted via someone else as I didn’t want them to carry out anymore work, after having the turbo done via a Land Rover specialists they advised me the engine installed was done very poorly , in result of that I now have a issue with air escaping from my unit causing bad smell in my car and also a ticking noise to my new engine (2nd one) which has now caused me an additional cost which again I’m having to pay from my own pocket !!!

Intermittent engine management light on Range Rover Sport.

I had been having issues with the engine management warning light coming on intermittently, sometimes many times on a journey, sometimes not at all.

I took the vehicle to several companies including main dealers but didn’t get any satisfactory explanations or technical discussions from the service advisers, other than pointing out what the fault codes were.

Spoke to NWS, and had a really sensible technical discussion with Ashley about all of the potential causes and solutions. As a result, Ashley booked it in the next day for a comprehensive diagnostic. Unfortunately, they confirmed a likely turbo failure due to sticking vanes. So, I bit the bullet and instructed them, based on Ashley’s sound advice, to replace both turbos.

They had a significant back log of work, but I had the use of a courtesy car until they completed my repair, which was achieved within the time frame advised. Excellent support and communication from Ashley from start to finish, updating me on progress; exceptional aftercare was also evident as Ashley followed up a number of times over the next two months to check all was well with my vehicle.

From my experience It is not often that you get this level of attention and care, so well done to all the team at NWS.

Based on my experience I would fully recommend them.
